The Official January transfer thread

Last January saw one of the biggest markets we've ever seen. The likes of Fernando Torres, Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez, Edin dzeko, Antonio cassano, giampaolo pazzini, alessandro Matri, and mark van bommel, to name a few all found a new home. A crazy haul for the summer market, let alone the winter one.

The question is, will we see more of the same this time around? With the tops of the major leagues up for grabs, I'm inclined to say yes. So let's use this thread to post anything related to he January transfer window. Rumors, firings, hirings, and completed transfers. I figure one thread would be better than 2000 individual ones.

So I'll start with a completed one already, Eduardo Vargas to Napoli. I like this one, he seems like he'd slot right into the starting XI. But the real story behind this move is what it means for lavezzi. I believe he's being brought in as a replacement for lavezzi, on a permanent basis and not just because lavezzi is injured. I fully expect lavezzi to be a inter or Chelsea player either by the end of January or beginning of the summer.

8 million euro were offered by Roma to FC Porto for their 25 year old midfielder, Fredy Guarin. The club has already reached an agreement with the player, the only detail to work out is the fee (asking 12, offered 8; for now)
