Atalanta director Pierpaolo Marino believes he knows the name of Riccardo Montolivo’s next club once he eventually leaves Fiorentina.

The Italian international will quit the Viola in January or at the end of the season once his contract expires.

Montolivo has been strongly paired with Milan and Juventus in recent times, but market specialist Marino thinks the midfielder will move elsewhere.

“It has been two years that I have been saying that he will leave Fiorentina,” Marino told Lady Radio on Tuesday.

“I continue to believe that he can go to Inter. The newspapers may say otherwise, but I think he’ll end up with the Nerazzurri.”

Fiorentina offered the Atalanta youth product a new deal on numerous occasions over the last 18 months, but the player refused to put pen to paper.

Ah well he has about as much say on where montolivo will go as I do.


If we don't get him I see AC getting him. They need a new midfielder.

Why Milan they should be covered ? I think Murderratti wants a new italian midfielder playing for la nazionale maybe afterall there is some Italian blood left in his dry veins.
