I'm sorry, but why are you comparing ratios? If you want to compare statistics, then, please, look at how many assists Messi has compared to Ronaldo. One of the main reasons Messi is a better player than Ronaldo, is that he creates numerous chances for his team-mates, which makes him one of the most efficient false number 9s there are in this current game. His work ethic is, also, better. Messi wins every time because he's better than Ronaldo, mate.

Messi overall is a better player than Ronaldo.

I really don't want to debate any more because it's really not up for debate who's better. Most Real Madrid fans have said that Messi is better. Just because we say that doesn't mean we disregard everything Ronaldo does. I'll leave it at there. Messi WILL definitely win the trophy.

THis will be a little contraversal coming from me, but I like all 3 and I also don't agree with comments that Sneijder should have won last year. He had a good run for 6 months but taht's about it. Definitely consistent over an entire 12 months which all of the finalist were.

Although I would love for Ronaldo to win, Messi in my mind has been the more compete player not only over last year but over last 2 years.

The guys that I really would like to win (again this is coming from my Spanish seleccion perspective) is Xavi, although I can't see him getting it over Messi nor Ronaldo. Xavi has been the field general for both the seleccion and Barca and it can be argued neither team would have had their success without him.
