Nani to change positions????
This is just a hypothetical thread and I know it won't happen. I also know there are tons of United threads on here so sorry for one more and this is not meant to bash United.
It's pretty obvious that United need a stronger midfield and someone who can retain the ball and set up play and drive the team forward. IMO, doesn't Nani have all these qualities? Would it not make more sense to move him inside and keep Rooney up front?
I mean United have a bunch of good wingers/outside players so they could sacrifice him not playing out there and he has all the skills one would need to be a David Silva type player. Is he too selfish for this kind of role?
Do you think Nani has the tools to move inside as an attacking midfielder and would this ever work? Does it make more sense then having Rooney there moving him further away from goal?
To me it seems possible as I think some of Nani's talents get wasted sitting out there on the wing going one on one with his defender everytime he gets the ball, he is becoming very predictable and moving him to the middle in an AM type role seems like it could work?

Nani's more of a winger. Man Utd need someone like Modric.

Re: Nani to change positions????
But how would Utd play?
4411 with Nani as an number 10? Rooney lone striker?
I dont like it. When Rooney played that kind of role, he scored all those goals but had much less impact on the entire game.
