that utd find themselves having to win away at basel(a team that outplayed us) to either qualify or finish 1st. it is ridiculous how sloppy our defence is without vidic and how they always seem to undo the hard work of our attackers by falling asleep at the back to gift goals or opportunities to the opposition.

if we finish 2nd, and we don't have vidic or cleverley against rm, barca, bayern or any other strong team, we might aswell say fck it. the thing is, we outplayed benfica and had so many chanes to win it... fck our defence...honestly.

really pisses me off man.

nani was outstanding, carrick was superb.... berbatov had a good game and so did evra.

This group was meant to be a walk in the park too...smh I won't be surprised if Basel beat us at their ground.

Buuuuuut I believe United are able to kick in another gear and show against Basel why they made it to the final last season. Also a draw won't do for Basel and United could enjoy a few quick counter-attacks a la Hernandez, Young, Nani, Valencia and/or Rooney.

Yea tonights performance was dire. But I take solace in the fact that we have non of our usuall starters. If we had Vida today this BS won't have happedned.
