I have to say this guy proved me wrong. I, like many for that matter, had cast my doubts over him this summer. I didn't want him out at all costs, but was skeptical as to what he could really offer this team. I said that he stalled in his growth, which remains in part true, but this year he's stepped it up a notch. He still remains prone to the occasional defensive mistake (but he's not the only one), which is normal. But he has put in so much effort and Luis Enrique's faith in him has really positively affected his game. I'm very glad that he wasn't shipped out this summer because we would have been in huge trouble if he was. All that being said, he's got to keep up the hard work and then who knows, maybe we'll be shopping around for his backup next summer rather than a starter.
