hey, cant blame me for weighting the + and - Very Happy. we are linked to him in a more serious way than caughoffside, so it's worth talking about it.

Thing is, complete all around mifielders are something of a rarity, specially if they can also play DM. More often than not, they are fashioned by managers themselves.

discussion can give hindsight about the player, and whether or ot he has potential to improve the offensive contribution. M'vila has terrific vision and passing range going for him, and he is smart.
Blablabla, I don't want a DM who can't play B2B or with limited passing... Very Happy

So why do you like Khedira then? He's a limited DM and a limited B2B. Basically nothing special at anything...
That's my point. If you want to replace him then give me someone better eco smile I said it to nick and others numerous of times Very Happy

I don't get the thread either, he is not out of form anymore Very Happy He just plays deeper for Germany and RM this season eco smile

He does play deeper, that is for sure. Defense shambolic? I remember seeing Babstuber and Hummels as CB's, can't remember the full backs. Think one was Aggo (or something). Never thought Babstuber was any good and Hummels is still pretty good so what was the cause of the shitty showing?
Low played Träsch who plays and is pronounced as trash on the right eco smile BAD-stuber played really bad and left Hummels exposed on every counter. The overall system was 3-4-3 which Low didn't even practice in training eco smile he just wanted the boys to try it out eco smile

There's no such thing as a midfielder who excels at everything. Xabi, Piggy and Pirlo are about as close as it gets and they each have their own weaknesses. So you want a mid who can develop into perhaps one of the greats (young) and who already excels at several aspects (defensive portion for example) WHILE showing the ability to add everything else. There are only two of those available right now. One is Javi Martinez and the other is M'Vila. Vidal is not for sale.

And remember, M'Vila just turned 21. The other two are 23 and 24 respectively and entering into their primes while M'Vila is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.

You watched him with ALOU DIARRA as his midfield partner ffs. That's like Lass being your midfield partner, except that Lass is better than Diarra right now. Diarra is a pure DM... cannot do anything else. The kid had nowhere to go with the ball when he had it.

I know you understand the game better than this babun. First, you come up with Montolivo and now this. Pick up your game dude.

Italian mids are shit atm. EPL mids... the best are Spanish lol. The best creative mids come from Spain. The best defensive mids come from France. The best combo mids come from Germany. Just how it is right now.

what makes you think that Hummels will be good in attack? if so, we might as well buy M'vila, they have similar vision and passing skills, but one is a natural mid already

M'Villa similar to Hummels? eco smile Jog on... Very Happy
Hummels can win the ball, dribble, PASS and keep it under pressure in all three dimensions Very Happy His positioning sense is exceptional. I don't get why Low doesn't play him in DM position Very Happy he practivally plays midfield for BVB since Sahin's departure, I don't see any problems Very Happy
The red part is what we need and what M'Vila can't compare with him. Don't get me wrong, Sahin+M'Vila would be a dream team but not with Alonso and guess who'll start... Very Happy

dude Hummels has the same skillset as M'vila. Touch? we can hardly talk about it since Hummels play in defense, and mvila in the middle. And im not talking about him running upfield with the ball, but retaining the ball in a maze of players.

Mvila is a fantastic passer as well, just as much as Hummels, he can split open teams with his passing, and shows it off consistently with Rennes.

I think you have the wrong idea about Mvila, he isnt your bulldozer type midfielder with a brain, he is much more refined than that.

Besides, i thought you wanted complete midfielders that can attack and defend?

lol at Hummels, this thread is moving into usual Frenchies vs Germs lol Very Happy

Mvilla is hardly a step up from khedira offensively..sure he can pass cleanly but so can khedira.I wouldnt bring Mvilla just for a defensive improvement when xabi is already playing deep.

Vidal or Javi Martinez

and my pick will be javi.

But Xabi has so much offense in him (see Liverpool days) and Sahin would be completely wasted if he can't jump into the attack when the opportunity is there.

Best attacking players should be able to attack. No point in trying to get people to do things they don't excel in (Xabi is not a great defender; does it due to necessity) and take away from their strengths imo.

Ozil is a rare quality player. One of the few players that almost no one doubt his talent. I hope he continues developing and improving himself in every aspect. Messi improved his freekicks in last three years, I think Ozil can improve his freekicks as well, he is good at it not to forget. I have not seen such a player with a Zidane classy style of play such as Ozil. I hope he becomes the next big thing for the sake of the game, after all, we are football fans.

Oh, a new poster, welcome to RM section Very Happy We're open minded to any kind of fans as long as they don't troll eco smile
On topic, Mou is trying to make Ozil more involved in buildup than just playing the final ball like last season. We dominate other teams more but he is less at the end of the direct assists. Still, we lead by 3 points so he does something right eco smile
