Re: The most valuable player for each of the Euro 2012 favorites
I know you already waited for this
Germany: Manuel Neuer
Spain: Iker Casillas
Italy: Gigi Buffon
Netherlands: Maarten Stekelenburg
France: Hugo Lloris
England: Joe Hart
Denmark: Thomas Sørensen (just because)
Portugal: Rui Patrício (If too many goals go in, CRonaldo can't do much )
So. Actually numbers 1-5 (okay, okay, let's include number 6, too) read pretty nicely together!

He's only started like 2/3 games ffs.
And we've been awful in each and every single one of them apart from the game against Wales.

Rooney is easily England's best and most important player. I put down Wilshere only because Rooney wont be playing any time soon.

Hart is England most Important player, if his injured who can replace him...?
I was about to say Neuer is Germany most important player but if he gets Injured about 4 other goalkeepers can take his place, unlike Lahm and Schweinsteiger.

lol how were england awful, tell me the games? against who were they awful? lol chatting shit mate lol .
but anyway rooney is not their most important player as he always plays shit in big tournaments anyway its time for wilshere to shine and its time for the other England youngsters to shine and i bet you they will.
btw i hate england national team. ghana ftw

Denmark away we were outplayed despite winning.
Switzerland at home we were awful.
Wales away was pretty much the only game in which Wilshere started in that England were actually good.

For France, it's Benzema and it's not even close. The whole system is built around him.
In qualifiers, he's scored the most goals by far and the most important ones. Set up several of the key other goals too. Without him in the last 2 qualifiers (injury), we almost blew it.

England - Hart. England always go out to goalkeeper blunders, so he needs to avoid the curse.
France - Cabaye Really gives life to their midfield. All the other guys are pretty much DMs.
Germany - Schweinsteiger, no contest. The whole of Germany's game revolves around his awesomeness. Oezil can be replaced by Goetze without too much trouble. Podolski's the one who decides if they win or not, though.
Italy - Andrea Pirlo. Everything goes through Pirlo. Montolivo, Aquilani and whatever creative guys Italy has are meh compared to Pirlo.
Netherlands - Sneijder. VP ain't too good for Holland, and Robben ain't fit yet. Although this could be Robben once he comes back.
Spain - Xaviesta.
Portugal - won't qualify
Belgium - oh, wait
