So Ibra has written a book about himself and in it he describes chapters in his Barcelona life which has not been mentioned before.

In the book he wrote that Pep wanted to play him in another position and that Messi forced him out of his central role. Ibra got an outrage and said some pretty disturbing things about Guardiola calling him an idiot and saying he has gotten no balls etc.

He also described that Henry felt the same way and that they used to talk crap behind Pep's back.

My point is, do you hate Ibra now or would you react in a similar way if you were in a simliar situation as ibra?

OK. Well all I can say is what a fail... He's simply unprofessional... if everything isn't catered to his desires he can't deal with it. He refused to even give Guardiola's idea a shot? Do I hate him? No, but I wouldn't want him back at the club and it reveals his weakness as a player.

I don't see how that mades Guardiola a coward, If he thought Messi would do better in a central role than Ibra it was his duty as a coach to play him there. I would have been cowardlike not to.

So Guardiola made perhaps the greatest positional change in football's history and Ibra is butthurt because it impacted upon him. Amazing how stupid this guy is... Guardiola recognised that the best way forward was to play Messi where he could have 100% influence. So its rightly so that Messi was Pep's favourite in comparison to a bitter guy who wouldn't play out of position. Ibra probably deserved his treatment. Why didn't he just attempt to play where Guardiola wanted him to? Backed his ability and gave it a shot, maybe he could have improved too.

This is just hilarious how Ibra is trying to get the world on his side and on the contrary he has completely justified Pep's actions

I don't see how this makes Pep look bad at all... and it's really nothing new. We knew Ibra felt bad about his position change, but his level started dropping before then. We knew he didn't fit in the dressing room before. We knew he is still not over his exit at Barca.

I guess the only real piece of news is the dynamics within the team, and that Messi was the one that asked to be played as a CF, not just Pep playing him there.

I always liked him as a player and still do. I often found him funny and a pleasant change for the robotic players who have zero personality.

However, his quotes here borderline on crazy and it shows a lack of professionalism I didnt expect from him.

I knew he was a little crazy, but the niavity of his words are eye opening to say the least.

Kizz has explained the specifics of each point, so I dont have anything to add.

He really doesnt understand what it takes to win at the highest level.

Maybe Pep would have fixed it by changing Ibra's position. But that would not have been acceptable to Ibra.

Whatever the case, there will always be employees who hate the boss. Ibra is just one of them. It just shows Pep has his flaws too. If anyone is being portrayed in a bad way here, it is Ibra...

But like I said, Ibra was playing badly even before the position change. Also, Ibra's not willing to play other positions? Wtf? Who does he think he is? If he puts himself above the team then he should've gone

Ibra started out as centerforward, he played there all his games. Pep played Messi on the right on paper, but in reality he was directly behind Ibra like a second striker.

All that this lead to was space taken up for Messi to move into, therefore remove that player and give Messi that space. Seeing as he is the best in the team, that makes perfect sense.

In theory, Ibra could/should of worked, but I think his lack of mobility was overlooked (even by guys as smart as Pep and Cruyff).

Ibra overall as a player is a tactical problem because he is too slow to be a striker up front on his own in a team who need that player to stretch the defence and give the midfielders room and passing options.

He needs someone in front of him who will run (which he has at Milan in Pato) or you have to play directly to him with longer balls and have him do a little bit of everything and with that freedom.

Didnt get that at Barca for obvious reasons.

The whole situation has only enhanced my respect for Pep, if in fact it true.

Just because Ibra said it, doesnt make it true, he is trying to sell books. Dont be niave into thinking he isnt fabricating.

But even if it is all true, Pep had a very difficult job on his hands. The most expensive player in the clubs history, a multi champion and one of the best players in the world who he wanted. He then realised he doesnt fit the team like he wants and Ibra being Ibra obviously cannot handle the situation in the ideal way for all involved and then toys are out the pram.

Its a hard situation to be in, smack bang in the middle of a season where titles are up for grabs.

Pep dealt with it and didnt let the wheels fall off, in the end, we still won La Liga.

Pep ignored Ibra? If it is true, we dont know the whole story and after Ibra´s outrageous comments why should Pep reach out to him? He doesnt want him as a player and he has now been insulted personally.

What Ibra doesnt realize is, the TEAM is the priority to Pep, not Ibra and not any individual. The team.

If he can do without Ibra and the team is better off, who gives a crap about Ibra with the attitude he has shown?
