Last 4 head to heads between the Manc sides reads: 4 games 2 Utd wins and 2 City wins. We're joint top atm (atm being the key words here) We have a better defensive record in the league, whilst they lead in goals scored by 5. They are not better than us, atm it's even.

Not really, he said league position and recent head to head show they are best.

You tried using the same argument with utd and city, but it's even on the last 4 games, and they are even in the table...

as much as it pains me to say Spurs are better than us right now, they are showing the consistency we used to that and the fact that we havent beaten Spurs in the league for ages

I hope we can turn things around because I would hate for Spurs to finish ahead of us in the table

Ali, historically, Arsenal are a better team Than Spurs, there is no denying that. But for this season and the way Spurs are flying, you have to be honest and admit they are currently better.

Bale, Lennon, Parker, Modric, Adebayor, Sandro, Walker etc. They have a very strong squad and are winning games this season that in the past, would have drawn or lost.

I'll admit one thing, that they are more on form then us at the moment. I'll even make you a deal, that if by the end of the season, they finish above us, I'll admit they're better then us.

I have no clue why this thread is still going on and why people have such a hard time giving Spurs any credit. Nor do I understand why if one team has better PAST history that has anything to do with who is better RIGHT NOW.

RIGHT NOW City is better then United. They thumped them head to head and are equal in the league but ahead on goal difference. I said earlier in the year that City has the best players in the EPL but I thought United would win the league because they always seem to pull it out no matter what the circumstances are.

With that being said, City are better RIGHT NOW. That doesn't mean it wont change by the end of the year.

RIGHT NOW Spurs are better then Arsenal. They are way ahead of them in the table and beat them head to head. Yes Arsenal has better history but that has nothing to do with anything. Do I think Arsenal will beat out Spurs this year, no and I bet Arsenal fans to this effect.

If Arsenal do beat out Spurs this year will I run around and say Spurs were better, no I will not. There is not one shred of proof that Arsenal are better this year so far at all. And LOL at people bringing up the Champions league, that proves Arsenal were better then Spurs last year which they were, no one is arguing that.

Spurs made some great transfers and loans on the cheap and made there team much better then they were last year. Not to mention they have been pretty healthy this year.

Arsenal have not been healthy and they lost some of there best players and replaced them with good but not better players plus they added a couple players in the offseason to go along with Cesc and Nasri which would have made them very leathal but Cesc and Nasri left.

So in effect Spurs are much better then they were last year and Arsenal is not. Plain and simple.

Can Arsenal pass Spurs this year? YES. And if they do think of how dumb we would sound if we sat here and said despite all the facts Spurs are better. That is how some of you sound.

Ali, what about right now? that's the point I'm trying to make. We've reached half way through the season now, so I think it's fair to make that judgement that they are presently the 3rd best team in the league.

Spurs have been playing better than Arsenal because they have a healthy squad and they kept all their players from last year and added 2 good player.

If any team loses as many players as we did in the summer and with all the injuries there is no way they would be competing for the top 4. I am sure we can finish in the top 4 but we need our fullbacks back.

Tottenham currently have about 7 injuries lol.

King, Dawson, Sandro, Parker, Lennon, Gallas and Huddleston. They will have to rely on their attack for now.

Think it's time for us to admit they're actually a great team. Wouldn't be surprised if they won the League this season either.

Very attacking and balanced side with no European Competitions to distract them.

If they can keep King, Bale, Modric and Ade fit all season they'll definitely finish in at least a Champions League spot IMO.
