Re: Ronaldo would not succeed in Germany
Ronaldo does thrive on being the centre of attention and having the team play for him, though it should be said that he hasn't been in a team short of creative influence too often in his career, such as when Diego failed in your example.
If Ronaldo were willing to play as a centre-forward or even if Dortmund perhaps put Großkreutz as a forward to interchange with him on the wing, he'd have an amazing goal record.
Your point about Bayern and Robben is interesting, given that Madrid offloaded Robben when Ronaldo arrived, it's a dynamic that may have affected the transfer - though I believe Robben's injury record was foremost in mind.

I also think that people overstate Robbens selfishness. He's also assissted a shitload of goals, and if a coach like Heynckes told him off, he'd fall in line. Especially in a team like Bayern, where Robben arguably isn't a bigger star than, say, Lahm, Piggy or Ribéry, maybe even Gomez.

I don't believe he's particularly more selfish than Ribery, however it is a characteristic of his play, not that it's a bad thing. Such talented players need to assume responsibility, it's part of his personality which makes him as good as he is.
P.S. Screw the others, Müller > All.

Re: Ronaldo would not succeed in Germany
Well, my point was more that a team can't really afford too many players that are too selfish, or it might be a problem, and somehow I can see Robben and Ronaldo both try to hog the limelight for themselves, which would possibly be detrimental for the team as a whole.
As for Ribéry - now under Heynckes he is astonishingly less selfish than before (and thus, parodoxically much stronger individually than last season) and even works to help the defense, so it might be true that Heynckes would manage to integrate even the more selfish players into the team. And Ronaldo in Dortmund might really be something, too. So it is actually a pity we can't see the experiment "Ronaldo in the Bundesliga"

Re: Ronaldo would not succeed in Germany
not that ronaldo would really want to leave madrid and go play in the bundesliga
and i have no doubt that any club there would go head over heels to buy him if they have they money, bayern included however plausible your theories are

I agree, you'd be retarded to not buy Ronaldo if you had the cash and he was willing. Even Barca would do it. He's just too good. I don't know where he'd play at Bayern, but for a player like him, you just f*cking MAKE room.
Same would go for Schweinsteiger, Ribéry, Messi etc. - those kinds of players, if you can get them, you get them, you keep them, and you make your team accomodate them.

Umm, no. Frankly, I wouldn't turn a working team that already has some stars topsy-turvy to integrate even another one. Just look at the English NT where they always try to make room so that they don't omit certain stars and hurt some egos...

its just a case of the fox and the sour grapes for you.. ronaldo is not available anyway, so you can whatever you want.. he would star at bayern if he plays and the team will be accomodated for him, hes one of the best in the world and any competent manager/ president knows this

Re: Ronaldo would not succeed in Germany
Sour grapes? Why that? Mind you, I'm not a Bayern fan, and my team is in the 3rd Bundesliga so I would never expect *any* player of any caliber play here XD
It is really my opinion that it is more important to have a good chemistry in a team than having an ever big collection of star players. Mind you, the German NT has always been consistently good, even though people always talked them down for not having star players. And how much does it help Portugal to have CRonaldo? Not too much.
