Personally, I wouldn't be in either during match day, since I'm usually watching with my brother without access to a computer. I pop into the chat at half-time and full-time.

I don't think it's get that clustered during match day, especially since our kick-off times are always different to everyone elses. So long as we're not playing the same time as Madrid are, it's pretty good.

The problem is that Chat is for Most leagues happening at that time. And it is a huge favourite amongst other people.

What we can do is that all arsenal fans use the live thread instead. That can work.

Because i personally like the Live threads as u get the team and links for stream as well.

I will leave it to u guys really

I prefer live threads, mostly due to that scrolling bug (Chrome Mad), but I wish they would auto-refresh ):

When there're lots of pages in a thread, does anyone else read the posts backwards?

Honestly, I'll still use the chat. It's easier, faster, gives me feedback on most of the other matches and can be a good place for debate too. Not to mention, links are always provided by people there.

Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner was forced to ask complete strangers for money on Saturday evening as his credit card was declined as he tried to pay for pizza, according to Danish paper Ekstrabladet.
The loaned out Arsenal man stopped at a pizzeria in Copenhagen where he placed his order of pizzas but was then unable to pay for them.

The newspaper reported that the 23-year-old tried to get the pizzas for free and even asked staff: “Don’t you know who I am? I can buy the whole pizzeria.”

An unnamed member of staff told the paper: “We told him that it did not matter who he was. If he could not pay, there was no pizza.”

A fellow customer informed the paper: “He was f***ing arrogant; acted as if he owned the place. All the people just stood and looked at each other and shook their heads over the way he behaved.”

After the argument, two girls decided to pay for the food and Bendtner left in a taxi.

Great article Sam!! Good share!!

Btw:

“Coaching is what I love. But back in England? There is only one club I would want to go back to and be No.1 or even on the backroom staff – and that is Arsenal,”

“If Arsene Wenger wanted me to join in some capacity, that would interest me a lot.

Podolski engages Klopp in war of words
Lukas Podolski has hit back at Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp, who on Sunday ruled out making a bid for the Cologne striker.
Klopp said Podolski was not one of his targets, but it is the reasoning behind his snub which has angered the Germany international.

"Maybe he is just sad because I have already turned him down twice," Podolski told the Express newspaper.
"They are very provocative remarks from Mr Klopp."

While Schalke have confirmed their interest in Podolski, whose contract expires at the end of next season, Klopp told Sky television that the Germany international is "an extraordinary player" but too inconsistent.

"I think he is hyped up so much in Cologne that it is hard for him to perform regularly," added Klopp.
"With his potential, he should be one of if not the best striker in the Bundesliga, but he isn't and that is because he does not perform to his best often enough.
"That makes him too expensive for us - to have him only perform every other week."

Podolski retorted: "I really am too expensive for Dortmund because they have no money coming in from the Champions League.
"Now they have just been eliminated for finishing bottom of their group, I can understand that it would not be worth it."

I got this from Bluemoon fourm lol.
Prestwich_Blue.Their fans are the most bitter bunch of plastic glory-hunters imaginable and I am starting to hate them with a vengeance. One claiming we only have a 3 year history, conveniently forgetting that we won the European Cup Winners Cup 24 years before they did. Not that they'd remember as they were all probably Liverpool fans then.

Nothing less than double figures will satisfy me on Sunday.

So 3 points off them on Sunday.
RVP off them in January.
CL spot off them in May
Thursday nights Channel 5 for them next season.
Mid-table mediocrity thereafter.

That'll shut the Mumbai-based plastics up.

I am rolling around laughing at the sheer irony of that post. Calling us plastic glory-hunters, when I'm sure the majority of City fans are and will be exactly the same.

Arsenal Lobby - Page 32 Empty Re: Arsenal Lobby

Post by Raptorgunner Wed Dec 14, 2011 4:55 pm

Speaking at a supporters’ Q&A at Emirates Stadium last week, the Arsenal manager explained the factors behind those difficult decisions.

“In general, what is very important to understand is that we survived at the top in selling our good players,” said Wenger.

“What happened is that we sold them around the age of 29 and 30. Why? Because we needed the money and for them to not go for free.

“I adopted a way of thinking that it was better to sell a player one year too early than one year too late. If you sell too late you don't get any money and you cannot buy anymore. If you sell a player early he can still sign a longer contract somewhere else.

“In the cases of players like Patrick and Thierry, they were players who had given us nine years - their best years. Patrick could have made twice as much somewhere else with a four-year contract, but I did not want to give that to him.

“What happens in football is that a player goes over his peak and you still have to pay him the maximum money. There's always a difference between the moment when a player is well paid and his performance - there is a delay.

“When you get to a player who is 29, 30 years old and you want to renew his contract, you pay mega money knowing that he will give you two years at his best when he is a striker.

“You have to be calculated and ask if you can pay this money, then ask if you can keep five or six players who are into their 30s and cannot give you their maximum.

“Of course in these situations you can only achieve things as men, with heart and respect. But in these situations your intelligence has to rule your heart. That is vital.”
