Jonas: Newcastle Deserve Champions League place
Newcastle United star Jonas Gutierrez believes that his side deserve their place as early Champions League challengers.
The Magpies currently lie fourth in the Premier League after a 2-2 draw against Tottenham on Sunday continued the team’s unbeaten start to the season.
Gutierrez believes that the side can continue their run of form as they prepare to take on struggling Wigan Athletic at St.James' Park next Saturday and the Argentine international feels his side's performances warrant their lofty position in the league.
He told The Sun: “Nobody has beaten us yet this season so we deserve it and next weekend we have a great opportunity to take three more points.
“We are trying to play good football and keep the ball. It will be hard to stay in the top four, we know that. There are a lot of good teams but we deserve to be fourth.”

Settling for 4th? Weak mentality doesn't befit a club like Newcastle

I'd settle for 4th!! In fairness I'd settle for a top 8 finish.
