Bad choice really. With the form he is in he should be automatic starter. I wouldn't drop him till he lost form or got injured or whatever.

I couldn't care less benching someone who has had 3 hat-tricks in 4 games is the most utterly stupid thing I have ever seen

If Benzema is too much of a bitch and girl to see Higuain needs to start ahead of him and can't take being benched he shouldn't be on our team

Crimson, don't you think he should be rested after playing a multitude of games for Real and Argentina?

I feel that may be the influencing factor behind Jose's decision no?

Plus, you should be happy this rotation system is put into effect as both strikers are in fabulous form and should be played equally although Higgy edges it in form.

Also, since this against Lyon, I'm sure Benz would want to play against his old team as this may be another deciding factor.

Mou benched Kaka rightfully Very Happy As long as no Kaka is on the field Benz' presense make sense, he needs to help out the midfield Very Happy
In the end, it's more the case of not starting Kaka than starting Higgy Very Happy

I'm freaked out over Di Maria starting over Higuain and Kaka... really Higuain. That's the shock to me. Not Benzema starting since i view Benz as a much better footballer than Higuain anyhow.

I've said it since the beginning of the season: Mou makes it hell to earn a starting job. But once you get his vote of confidence, he's vested. You have to earn the bench. Di Maria has earned the bench; not Benzema.

I agree with people saying that Higgy should start, but maybe we should look at it as more of a rest for Higgy as he has played 4 full games in a row now, we don't want a repeat of what happened last season (Higgy getting injured for half a year).

You guys do realize that Benz scored a hat trick against Ajax, then went on a 2-weeks NT stint where he scored 2 goals and then a hat trick against Auxerre... and he was on the bench for 3 straight games after. It's not unheard of with Mou. Didn't hear anyone crying about that last year (although i did lol).

I agree. I said the same thing. We can't just isolate Benzema and forget that he is a part of the team.

Like I said before, it wasn't like rotation wasn't expected. We all expected this had to happen becouse they both are too quality to sit on the bench.

some of you guys are so bias its crazy, benz earned is starting spot and 2 hattricks(league) from higz, benz should be benched immediately, he is not even playing badly either i think the decision is fair but benz should've took di maria spot tho and higs start
