Well, I just read that Jose wants to use Mata on the right as well as Centrally. Could be hinting that he will use the 4-3-3. I personally, see no problem with it.


Doesn't look too bad and he also commented on how he got Joe Cole to defend. Maybe hinting he'll try the same for Mata?

not entirely, I saw quite a few matches where he played 4-3-3.
He constantly moved Ozil out to the right and played with Modric Alonso and Khedira.

If you have to tell yourself that to make you feel optimistic, go right ahead

I don't see how it doesn't. Ramires can play b2b, Mikel can hold, MVG can play b2b. Hazard can play left or right, where he normally plays and Mata or Schurrle can partner him, both love to be more attacking so it suits them. Moses is also a proper winger so it suits him too. The only one it doesn't fit to a tee is Oscar and Mata slightly. If Jose does what he says, Mata won't have a problem with it and that just leaves Oscar, who we all want to play deeper so this is as good an opportunity as any to try it.

I'm not saying it's a prefered option. I am just saying don't rule it out yet, it could be very handy when we want to win the midfield battle.

Our exact team, I don't think change the formation has that much of an effect on our final standings.

A little bit, I watched them at the Confed's cup though.

I watched every game they played in the Olympics. He played in midfield along with Lucas Moura with Sandro holding. Neymar, Damiao & Hulk were the front three.
