I know the feeling bro. Nigeria
The corruption within are FA has become so disgusting that we may need to adopt Ghana's tactics to end this corrpution.
This CANNOT go on.
Extreme. I think a guy named Rollins led a revolution in Ghana and killed EVERY SINGLE corrupt figure. Pulled Ghana out of International Competition and completly rebuilt the country and its football.
They are years ahead of us. It's a scary prospect but it is soon becoming a harsh reality that might happen if this contiues.
/
false, Rawlings' revolution did not even involve Ghana sports..... after his revolution, he handed power back to a democratically elected government, then did another military revolution, before finally being elected as president in 1996......... his government was even more corrupt than those he "claimed" were more corrupt.....
Ghana football's success has been viable through the implementation of a youth policy since the 1990's, players like Essien, Mensah, Derek Boateng, Gyan and co were all teammates in FIFA youth tournaments in the 2000's, they got promoted to higher youth levels until they finally got to the senior team.
We are re-doing that again with Ayew, Badu, Vorsah, Adiyiah etc etc. so by the time the Essien's and co's are done, the new ones already know each other. We won the youth WC in Egypt a few yrs ago, so don't be shocked if most of those guys are in 2014 in Brazil......
Nigeria's corruption goes sh*t load every level, I do not know if there is even any non-corrupt Nigerian that exists in this world. Until they change that mentality, am sorry they will not see success now or ever....
p.s: just to add, Ghana made it cos Ghana football and government act as separate entities, government cannot interfere in football in Ghana, I cannot say same for Nigeria and several other African countries...

looking forward to see Equatorial Guinea....they have some fantastic youngsters coming through, been following their league this year.
This... African football is sucha mystery... I PROMISE you Ghana and Ivory Coast will not walk through this tournament at all... they tend to choke or stumble with TOP NOTCH squads.
Don't sleep on Botswana, Guinea, Senegal, Zambia or Niger... teams that can definitely hang with the rest. Senegal will be the team that goes under the radar. Niang, Sow, Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse. Botswana really have a quiet but strong team.. they have great chemistry. Should be a wild ride early next year.

I personally find it amazing how Libya actually manages to keep together an organised football NT with everything going on over there. And win, too.

Libya had invested a lot of resources into their football, they had won the bid to hold the tournament in 2013, so I guess they had some infrastructure laid down to make the most out of the talents they have.

We've only just managed to reach there, and that's great considering the circumstances.
Football development over there has been quite slow, and you can thank a certain person who made it worse when he banned football about 30 years ago , which halted development a lot.
Our infrastructure is better than several other African nations, but still far from the desired standard. We have one or two big ugly stadiums, and other, smaller ugly stadiums. Far from great, but I hope football improves even more over there.
Hopefully we can organize ourselves more in time for 2012.

nigeria didnt qualify=no playing time for romeu
if essien is fit by Jan and he goes to this tournament im going to rage, all his injury problems stem back to this tournament!
with no egypt or cameroon in it hopefuly ivory coast can win it, i dont think drogba has won an ACN before and if anyone deserves it he does

Re: Africa Cup Of Nations 2012!
I just litened to the sports news, it said that the Nigerian NT coach subbed Mikel for a striker in the final minutes of the match when Nigeria was actually leading, and that lead to the equillizer, at the end of the game Nigeria was playing 4-1-5.

The final 2 spots have been secured last night.
Morocco beat Tanzania to top Group D.
And CAF lost to Algeria, so Sudan have secured their spot as well.

Re: Africa Cup Of Nations 2012!
i was surprised we didnt qualify after winning the competition 3 times in a row but we deserve it bradley should call up youngsters and rebuild this squad because we actually have a very good team and a fighting spirit that not many teams have .And i hope not qualifying is a wake up call for us and we can now focus on building the squad then focusing on qualifing to the world cup
