CSKA is in a bit of a slump,got destroyed by Dinamo 4-0 and drew Rostov.Secured a victory over Volga in the 85th minute last last weekend,which was their first win in 5 games I think.

CL matches don't usually reflect league form though...

Well that looks like a fairly encouraging lineup in contrast to the lineup which was fielded against Bologna..

I'm guessing its gonna be a 4-3-1-2 with Coutinho playing behind the strikers and Alvarez on the left side of midfield perhaps as he's shown he's capable of playing there..

Also i agree..Zarate should play instead of Milito..

I wouldn't say he sucks, he needs time to gel. Ive seen both good and bad from him so far and I think he'll be a pretty reliable rb soon. I'd really like to see what faraoni can do, hopefully he gets some pt.

i highly doubt he'll play faraoni in CL, maybe once we're guaranteed an advance. I'd love to see Coutinho again, although everytime he messes up i get so angry its like it was me in the game and i messed up, just cuz i want to see him play amazing.

I've said it, jonathan is meh. From the very first match against palermo til the bologna match.

I think Jonathan's been good...Not superb, but not awful

He hasn't lit up the offensive side of the field, but I haven't seen him make any defensive blunders either iirc...

Balance is important

i hate it when he tried to dribble his way through eventhough he was being outcrowded. in the bologna match alone he lost possession that way at least three times during his +/- 30 minutes in the match.

i consider that sloppy.

I'm with bhends on this one,he didn't set the world on fire but hasn't made any mistakes either.He's been solid IMO...
