Both great players when fit, but do we really want our medical staff do be ran of their feet. Both are just too injury prone. What the point of having players in the books in they are never fit to play.

Re: Summer Transfer (outbound) Thread
I'll keep DAgger, he's awesome.
Aurelio is pissing me off though. He can't handle 30 minutes in one game anymore. It's a pity too, he could of easily been the best LB in the game today if it wasn't for those injuries. I'm just sick of it. 30 minutes of class every month.

I feel sorry for Fabio. He really tries to get fit. He keep promising that he'll try his hardest to get fit but then gets injured soon afterwards.

Re: Summer Transfer (outbound) Thread
BeautifulGame wrote:Newell's Old Boys president Guillermo Lorente has admitted that he dreams of seeing Lionel Messi wear the shirt of the Rosario club, and has already tried to convince the Barcelona maestro to end his career back in his home town.
A lifelong fan of the club, Messi joined the youth ranks at the age of 8 before moving to Spain when he was barely a teenager. The Ballon D'Or winner is still a passionate follower of the club's fortunes, and this week appeared in a charity match at the Estadio Marcelo Bielsa, along with fellow Newell's alumni Maxi Rodriguez and Javier Zanetti.
Speaking to Ole, Lorente made no effort to hide his desire to one day watch Messi represent his boyhood idols. And although the 23-year-old is still many years away from ending his career, the president revealed that he had already started efforts to bring the forward back in his twilight football years.
"We have been chatting for a while with Leo. We know that it is difficult, but we are doing everything possible to bring him back to Newell's," the chief stated. "We are on it, driving him crazy!"
One player who could return soon, though, is Maxi Rodriguez, currently playing for Liverpool. The 30-year-old midfielder affirmed that he had said yes to Lorente when asked in Rosario, but that a move was hanging on whether the English club would be prepared to release him.
"The president [Lorente] called me and I told him yes," Maxi told La Capital on Tuesday afternoon.
"Now it all depends on the contract I have with Liverpool, that maybe can be loosened a little."
Seems he has been told he is surplus to requirments .
As far as i'm concerned, Maxi can leave whenever he wants.
i wont notice that he has left

Kyrgi's all right.
Maybe he will still leave, that contract extension was perhaps automatically triggered by the number of appearances he made last season (as reported by Soccernet).

Kyrgiakos, really!!! This is weird. What about all those bench-marks NESV put forward!!! He didn't do too well in the later part of the season as well and with his age it will be downhill, more & faster.
It may mean we have missed out on our CB targets. Insua! Don't know, didn't play much last year.

We didnt offer him an extension. It was a clause triggered automatically based on the no. of appearances he made this season.

Screw loans... offer him to them at a cut rate price and sell the guy.Nishank wrote:Portsmouth want Konschesky on a season on loan .. ACC to Daily mail.
Kyrgi doesn't seem the type to kick up a stink about wages. I think if we told him that we would like him to move on, and a decent club came in for him he'd make the move without causing issue... unlike Jova, and Poulsen.BeautifulGame wrote:

Are we paying Wolves 2 mil to take him? I'd be okay with that deal.

Re: Summer Transfer (outbound) Thread
2 million thank you very much. Take that without any questions.
Personally I don't care if the deadwood we sell is sold from less that they are worth potentially. (apart from aquilani)
Just get rid of them for whatever we can get as soon as possible.

It is scary to think that we fail to sell the likes of Jovanovic, Cole, Poulsen, Degen etc...

Re: Summer Transfer (outbound) Thread
Is it possible to sell these players for zero-value or token-fee!!! That way purchasing clubs might put that money (they were supposed to spend as transfer fee) as wage.
Unless these players are cleared, I'm afraid they might become a disrupting force in the locker room.

Re: Summer Transfer (outbound) Thread
i feel like with new signings coming in, even if it's not a ton of people, a lot of these deadwood players we don't want to see on the team won't even even be making the 25 man roster, let alone getting any playing time... couldn't the club make that clearer to them so that they have more incentive to leave? i find it hard to believe that players could care so little about their careers as to sacrifice a year getting minimal playing time for the higher wages. especially for players like jova and poulsen, who aren't young and had to go through the same thing this past year...
