but anyway what viva said, fully fledged communism doesn't exist anywhere, because it simply doesn't work... nor does unlimited capitalism but as we've seen that has a longer lifespan...

Communism is the state of society that socialism is supposed to take us to, one that is based on living in stateless communes. All the so called "communist" regimes you are talking about were just socialist regimes supposed to be vehicles to take us to communism, there has never been actual communism anywhere in the world. Communism is society where we are free from necessity, alienation from our production and from a state apparatus.

Also, the German Democratic Republic wasn't democratic. Or a republic.

Exactly. Marxism is a pretty anarchist ideology. Anarchist in the sense of Anarchism, not Anarchy.

Lawl. It's funny when communist wannabe countries use fancy names to hide their idea. We are supposedly a Bolivarian Republic, but Bolívar is most likely dancing in his grave by his constant mention.

Or like the Holy Roman Empire which was neither Holy, nor Roman, nor an Empire. Badass name, though.
