Re: Former Player: Luiz Gustavo
His best game was the first against inter this yea i think
He have taken out Wesley Sneijder completely out of this game, and i like his playing style alot
He is defenetly no Benchplayer material, but if Vidal really signed for us it could be close for a starting spot as a cm
maybe 4 - 3 - 3 or heavy rotation next year might be possible
midfield:
Schweinsteiger - Gustavo - Vidal

That would be a freakin' wall... for the tough games, because Mueller or Kroos don't fit in a 4-3-3, unfortunately.

Re: Former Player: Luiz Gustavo
That would explain their complete lack of CB scouting... He's good, sure and can be great there, but I think his speed and aggression would be better suited to the midfield. He can also pass very well.
That is, unless we're planning on getting Vidal.

Re: Former Player: Luiz Gustavo
First of all I'll like to say I'm in favour of signing Vidal as he possess loads of talent and will add lot of quality to the team both in training and on the pitch.
If Vidal Arrives and we just sign one defender I guess it will be ok to use Gustavo as C.B, but if we sign two defenders and Vidal I guess we just have to use rotation system often

I think Muller and Kroos can be rotated with Ribery and Robben on the wings in 4-3-3

You're right, although it would be better to adapt a 4-3-2-1 since those guys are beasts down the middle. Hmm... plan for long term?BeautifulGame wrote:Sushi Master wrote:That would be a freakin' wall... for the tough games, because Mueller or Kroos don't fit in a 4-3-3, unfortunately.

That would be the better formation for Bayern in long term particularly in CL . Not sure 4-4-2 they are playing will be effective in CL next season .

Re: Former Player: Luiz Gustavo
Who says they're planning 4-4-2? I'm guessing they will stick to the 4-2-3-1.
4-4-2 is too flat and boring for such great players we have.

Re: Former Player: Luiz Gustavo
Is it a sin for a team to have 2 types of formation...since we're adapting rotation system I guess we could play....4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.
