You're not going to get much argument from me that Italy > France prior to 1998. That's pretty obvious. But since then, France has won 1 WC, 1 Euro and made it to another WC final. I don't think anyone in their right mind would disagree that France > Italy since 1998.

Doesn't change the fact that Italians invented diving and cheating in general though.

Just because you best France when Domenech was the coach doesn't make you better during that span lol... one of those games was when both teams were pathetically coached btw (the Euro) and the other was won because of that cheating c*nt Materazzi.

In any case, results speak for themselves. France had clearly better results and better teams since 1998. I could've also mentioned that prior to the 2006 final, France hadn't lost to Italy since 1978 (6 games: won 5 and tied 1)... but i didn't lol.

as if your fact matters. italy won a world cup recently from zidane france. who needs a coach when you have zidane?! spain is better than both us and france but just like france rookies.italy is best european national team ever.

You realize that France has owned Spain in official matches historically, right? Just for your knowledge:
- France beat Spain in 1984 Euro Final
- France beat Spain in both Euro 1999 qualifying pool play matches
- France beat Spain in Euro 2000 quarterfinal
- France beat Spain in WC 2006 1/8 elimination round

Spain has never beaten France in an official game in their history. That's right...ever!

That said, there's no denying Spain is the best in the world and heavy favorites in this encounter unless France wins the Euro in 2012. But history is definitely on France's side.

I wouldn't bet against France honestly. If we're healthy and have our full side of defenders and DMs, Germany will have a lot of trouble. The talent is not that different between the two sides... Germany has a lot more offensive talent and France has a lot more defensive talent. Both side have excellent keepers. When you play official games, it often comes down to defense though. So i would pick France, especially given that Benz, Ribery, Nasri, etc. are not bad offensively.

We just had a horrible coach in Domenech through the 2010 WC... so we tend to get underrated right now. Out talent has always been top shelf.
