De Bruyne to Chelsea
Deal done apparently, he will be loaned back for this season.
Can't understand the deal TBH, now we have Kakuta, Mata and De Bruyne for the left wing. Mata can play on the right but with Sturridge there he will unlikely play there, so he's there for the left for a long time coming.
Won't help De Bruyne's or Kakuta's development a tiny bit. Think we're taking this new youth policy a bit too far.

Re: De Bruyne to Chelsea
kakuta is bette tthrough the centre.
Maybe, to be honest, if he doesn't make it we can always sell him for a profit as lnog as he improves a little bit.
I like the fact we have this compitition between our yout players. Gives us an increased chance of having a successful future IMO.

Re: De Bruyne to Chelsea
I don't mind with Mata + Kakuta being very versatile players(something AVB seems to like). Sturridge is keen to prove himself and if he does I don't think his position will be under threat(or will be moved to CF as above), more just adding depth and players of tomorrow

Don't agree with the formation. Sturridge is playing a position that won't suit him and Josh shouldn't be that back. Anyways, lets stick to the 4-3-3 as that's the formation we have ATM.
Competition doesn't help youth players when you have them competing against someone who was recently bought for 23m and is 23 years old and never likely to get benched, because he's so amazing. Plus we have two youth players battling for a position they would never acquire, so it becomes pointless.

Who says mata will be with us forever?
Malouda won't be around much longer so we will need a back up.

Of course he'll be with us for the foreseeable future. And by that time Kakuta or De Bruyne should be starting for a team week in and week out.
For Malouda the back up is Kakuta, don't see why we also need De Bruyne especially since they both cannot play at the right side.

Re: De Bruyne to Chelsea
And what if Kakuta gets an injury that puts him out for a year.
The only thing that is certain about the future is it's uncertainty so better to not put all your eggs in one basket if you know what I am saying.

Re: De Bruyne to Chelsea
So where are you expecting Kakuta and De Bruyne to play while Mata is blocking their favored position? Assuming we keep 4-3-3 as a permanent formation, there is no other place for them to play. Sure maybe they can play in the hole, but they are more suited to the wings and that is where they will probably end up once they're done with their early years.

No, I din't expect all of them to stay with us/live up to their potential so better to buy more players than have just one. Especially if that player flops but the others don't.
