Gaël Kakuta - Le Nouveau Zizou

Seems like the majority of CFC fans have lost faith in him after they were ridiculously hyping him up (As good as Ronaldo, Messi, better than Ribery, Nasri etc) about a year ago.

I think under AVB we'll start to see him realising some of the frightening potential he's shown so far in his short career. Personally think he has all the attributes to succeed here as a winger/wide forward pace, flair, skill, close control, vision etc. Can easily see him having a James Rodriguez-esque impact here this coming season, maybe even a starter if Andre doesn't sign any wide players before the window closes.

Gutted he didn't travel with the squad to Asia but it'll be fun watching him in the coming U-20 World Cup. Will be starting for France against Colombia tomorrow.

Expecting him to finish as one of the 3 candidates for this years Golden Ball.

Him, Sturridge and McEachran are going to be 3 amazing footballers in the near future IMO.

Shame he's not really improved too much since he's came here. Hoping he comes good tho.

I have lost some faith but I still have faith in him to turn it around.

I would rather see him get game time than Malouda TBH.

he easily has 2-3 more years to break into the starting 11

plus with villas-boas hell definitely improve, i dont think carlo quite understood him

this guys got all the talent but i worry his not adapting to the EPL, i read drogba named him his sucessor..He had an amazing u-19 tournment..smashing spain in the finals...his got it he just seems to lack guidance and muscle

Sending Kakuta to Fulham was a bad decision by Chelsea, Mark Hughes didn't even want him there. Kakuta doesn't fit the 4-4-2 on the wings anyway imo.

Kakuta best position is CAM, so we have to see how he adjust to playing on the flanks if that is where he will play next year.

All the media hype and everything ruined him... but I'm pretty sure that if he even hits a lil bit of consistent form he will carry on and improve.

I wonder if Kakuta can be play as attacking midfielder in a 4-3-3?

edit: btw the France u20 game should be on soon, currently the game is being delayed because of rain.

Kakuta to Dijon?

This is the best place for Kakuta to go since it’s in France and it’s to a newly promoted, struggling team where Kakuta should have no problem getting game time. The league is also good so he should have a very good 6 months. But if he still fails to shine I think we’ll have to give up on him...

I hope it works our for him, IMO he should be played at AM not on the wing.
