Wow... it's a grade 2 MCL sprain. That's not good. It really needs to heal completely before coming back.

I hope he gets his own doctors lol. Madrid staff managed to take a 2-3 week injury (UCLA is one of the top 5 medical centers in the US and it's highly unlikely they were wrong) and makes it into a 4 month affair by not managing the injury properly. I may be jumping to conclusions... but there's enough incidents in Madrid's recent history that you have to suspect them.

ElConfidencial confirmed it, 1month and a half, he will seek professional help outside spain. they dont wanna rush him no more.

fyi, all our top players did the same when they got injured. Higgy went to the US, Ronaldo worked with a genius dutch physio, Pepe went to portugal to get help not sanitas, Kaka went to belgium

We need to get rid of sanitas and hire a bunch of elite physio and docs.

this is horrible.. hes been out since april thats 6 months.. hes gonna be out almost another kaka...

are the injuries threatening to how effective he is on the pitch? this can be horrible for our campaign if we dont get him ready by mid december atleast.

Sahin strangely reminds me of Woodgate. The young turkish has a good potential and indisputable skills and i believe that Mou has made a new tactic with him besides Alonso.
He has been out for 5 months and now he's injured again !! Just HORRIBLe for a young player like him. The best thing to do now, is to get him back to his ordinary form no matter howlong it takes, even if he loose his first part of the season. He should work his muscles and train hard hours per day (he can take Advices from CR).
In deed, Madrid staff should take care of him and help him mentally to get through this injuries. He needs to be strong.

Thanks god we didn't sell Lass, otherwise we would have been in a big problem by the middle of the season.

Animos Sahin

Sahin is really starting to worry me. He was supposed to be the great signing, and we know he is, and he seems to have a really good attitude. But he keeps getting injured again and again, and I know it might be down to our shitty medical staff but seems like he is injury prone as well. Now we are without him for 2 months, I hope we let him recover completely, integrate him into the team, and have a fresh start from there.

Just like a January signing, anyone?

when he comes back.. how long do you guys think it will take for him to integrate and then play at a good level? we need him at good force by january.

To bad such a talent has to face such a considerable amount of time out.

I can understand how most of you were looking forward to seeing him play.

Hope he won't relapse another time during his rehabilitation. Meanwhile, i don't think that his absence will be dramatical for Madrid because we have seen all of us that the squad is perfectly set, and in the midfield we have a lot of potential like Alonso, Sami, Lass, Coentro, Pepe as well, and in case we lose Alonso (same profil as Sahin) we have enough players to take his place in the field.
For me, i think that Sahin should take as long time as he needs for rehabilitation to be sure that he has totally recovered from his injuries. It will be The winter Fichaje like Saetablanca said.
Otherwise, i don't know if Mou is totally satisfied with Sanitas work

According to AS, Sahin is now in Lüdenscheid-his native town in Germany- after visiting Sanitas yesterday morning. The Turk international was anxious about his injury and the problems he had faced in recovery, for this reason he took several advices from some known doctors but to be honest the answer was that the treatement is totally correct (no blame on Sanitas).
Sahin, is now resting in his town and analyzing either to carry out the treatement in Madrid or to look for a new one in Germany or Turkey.

Sanitas is the only thing Uncle Flo hasn't changed since coming back.

It should have been the first thing he changed.

He's probably using medical terms to explain injuries that is technically true but still, all these injuries are happening under his watch and he should be responsible.

how mourinho is not on top of it, is the real question.

we should have our very own staff of world class physios and doctors, privatizing our medical unit isnt a good idea.

Mou wanted to higher a team doctor in the summer but there was a problem since he needed to be signed by sanitas first, to be able to work with the team.

it's a lot of BS. how expensive would it be to break our contract with them? all we need is a van, a short trip to holland, belgium and germany, and we are set.

That's what I wondering as well. Maybe Sanitas is under a long term contract and releasing him would be a very costly venture which is weird thinking for Real Madrid...

It's not unusual for top athletes to have their own doctors... in fact, it's 99% what happens. What you do need, however, is a top quality physical therapy and physical training team.

Any athlete who relies on a team's medical team to diagnose him and treat him is being foolish.
