2020 UEFA Super Cup: FC Bayern v Sevilla FC

This year's European Supercup takes place in Budapest, Hungary.

CL winners Bayern play Euro League winners Sevilla.

This game is treated by UEFA as a test balloon for allowing fans back into the stadia: the Puskas Arena, usually with a capacity of 60000+, will be filled up to 30% tonight, with each team allocated 5000 tickets.

Of course, Budapest is currently a CoVid hotspot, the German authorities have issued a travel warning, and accordingly the Bavarian prime minister among many other officials has urged Bayern fans to not travel... still, the game will take place and fans will be there, even if the clubs report that most of their allocated tickets will not be in use - Bayern are estimating less than 1000 fans traveling, Sevilla 350.

But all in all, UEFA says 15500 tickets have been sold, with attending fans having to keep a 1.5m distance, wear a mask, as well ass the crowd being scanned with thermal imaging with personal apparently required to intervene if someone seems to have a fever of 37.8° C...

Which is why this game has been dubbed by a major German news outlet "The most stupid game of the year".

Oh well.

This will likely be the last game for Javi Martinez in a Bayern jersey, with a move back to Bilbao happening very soon.

Bayern have controlled this game. Sevilla aren't able to play on the counter because DeJong is so slow and Suso doesn't know the definition of paasing forward. They need to get ElNesseyri on, and Oscar too

I've been saying it for years now, ever since Bacca left Sevilla have failed to replace him. I personally cannot continue watching De Jong any more. He makes my eyes hurt.

De Jong is all right. He can be a decent target man.

It's En-Nesyri who's the real bum. He's athletic but his first touch leaves a lot to be desired.

Anyway, it was a fantastic effort from Sevilla considering their lack of match fitness.

Congrats to Bayern and Hans I feel that will be saying this for many times in the near future, Bayern is just so good atm. Sevilla did so well though, im sure many were surprised how they forced a draw. I thought Sevilla in the first half or so of the first half was very good, they pressed to aggressively and caused Bayern a lot of trouble that we havent seen in a long time. I taste of their own medicine a bit.

Question regarding Tolisso, is he good? He came on for Sane when it was still 1-1 which I thought was very strange, consider Sane is much more of a threat, and Bayern were dominating. I guess it will be a lot of rotation during the season but im yet to be impressed by Tolisso, dont seem to offer that much?
