totally deserved this loss !
Feeling a bit sad that we lost but also feeling happy that we lost it without scoring a goal. This will make everyone realise that we are not a machine and will bring back the boys to the ground.

The run had to end some time but what a run they had. Only 2 defeats in close to 2 seasons of football and the points won is crazy what a team ffs. Can still go on to be the best team I'm premier League history. But the more people have been talking about going unbeaten the more the team got distracted by it and a few performances of late have not been as good as they should. But now that's off our backs we just need to get 15 points in the remaining 11 games.

we are going to comfortably progress in the next round.
Henderson getting injured,
Gomez out,
And Lovren instead of Gomez
Players did look tired from last few games.
So it all went to shit into this game. But I guess from here on, we will be more level headed and play football as usual.

To my fellow Liverpool fans relax lads it's not the end of the world. I know it's been so long since we lost that you forget what it feels like and you need to do a Google search to find out when that was but the title is all that matters records are only good for bragging on a forum nothing else. It's trophies that matter and we can now get back to winning the big ones.

Must say I feel a lot better now. I mean with all Liverpool have gone through in the last 10 years they really deserve to win the title and I rather have them win it than the bald fraud anyday but absolutely did not want them to go unbeaten
specially this sauceless team ffs.

I actually watched the game, and I rarely watch Pool games these days. Reason why is because I felt liverpool would lose it today. Swear it. Now people will tell me I'm full of shit and you're right to, but I feel like a wizard atm

I feel even if Pool end up with most PL points in history that it's difficult to call this team the best EPL team in history. Look at how utterly poor every other team is. Tottenham, United, Arsenal, Chelsea are in shambles. Leicester is now regressing to the mean as well.
The only other threat has been City and they've been poor too. Don't get me wrong, it says something that Liverpool is destroying the league while the rest of the league suffers, but it's just hard for me to see this team as significantly better than any EPL team in history. The league is weak atm.

Liverpool were 1.45 to win this compared to the usual 1.10-1.20

Because they were the away team. If it was at Anfield it would've been 1.10-1.15

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter IV
Honestly, putting my Arsenal bias aside, it's good for Liverpool to get this unbeaten thing off their backs because the circus around it was getting too much. Now it's one less thing to burden them.
I was young when Arsenal did it but at that time the talk didn't really start until after they'd won the league. Wenger famously said they could do it earlier in the season but everyone thought he was full of it.
Liverpool haven't even won the league yet but for weeks there's been talk of how they're the best PL team ever, how they'll break the record, etc. No chance anyone was going to let them actually lift the trophy first.
These things aren't important until after the accomplishment.
Anyway, Liverpool's level has been dropping. It was inevitable. Being that far ahead of everyone will damage anyone's focus eventually because the need to push that extra 10% simply isn't there.
You can have a team of champions and still get weeks where they'll feel losing isn't so bad.

Like with Achraf Hakimi, he’s rated adequately for his attacking influence. When they are threatened at the back, he’s not the guy you want.

The Arsenal invincibles were a team of legitimate individual superstars, this Liverpool team nothing other than a bunch of system players and Van Dijk. No way we could achieve an unbeaten season in the PL but now I'm glad it's over and peace will prevail.
But then again, we gonna knocked out by Chelsea and then Madrid in a week so it's going to be a rough few weeks lmao

Not taking anything away from them but that Arsenal team had a shitload of draws (12) that season. We are beating their point tally 2 seasons in a row. But we can't really compare teams from 15+ years ago and now so it's pointless anyway

It's psychologically harder to go without defeat for the entire season, specially when your coach in the beginning of the season said your team could do it.. Than to rack up 100 points in a season. City did that just a few seasons ago as well.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter IV
I don't care about these kinds of record's tbh. But if Liverpool end up getting the record for most points won in a season it is a better record than just playing out half a season of boring draws just so you can say you didn't lose a game that season. When you go all out to win every game like Liverpool do you run far more of a risk of losing one then if you just play every game just to not lose. But if you want to talk about real records you would point out that Liverpool have 6 champions League titles and arsenal don't have any and I'm sure El gunner would give up the 49 games unbeaten that means jack for a champions League title win.BusterLfc wrote:Nishankly wrote:The Arsenal invincibles were a team of legitimate individual superstars, this Liverpool team nothing other than a bunch of system players and Van Dijk. at the end of the day this Liverpool team will be title winners. They'll also been known as a team that won the league during arguably it's weakert season in PL history.
And as a team that got dumped out of the CL in the R16 by the worst Atletico side in a decade. It is what it is.
Ole out.
