We have quite a favorable fixture list up until April 11th when we play Wolves away.

If we go far in the EL, then our chances go down significantly but I can see it with the way we are playing under Arteta.

Absolutely not barring a miracle. 'Arteta ball' isn't exactly delivering results now is it.
Defensively we’ve improved a lot since Arteta arrived and now our attack is showing as well. Aubameyang is back from his suspension, Lacazette is scoring again,we almost have a fully fit squad (Ceballos, Torreira returning). Game against Newcastle showed what this team can do when fully fit. It wouldn’t be a miracle if results turned up, especially with an easier than usual fixture list until April 11th.

We’ll see.

You know I'm pretty unbiased when it comes to performances, that United performance was arguably the worst I have witnessed in many, many years. Maybe ever.

You did comfortably beat us and I would give you props if I felt the performance was fantastic but it was mostly just United being atrocious. Arsenal's performances have looked uninspired and the results aren't exactly flattering.

It doesn't matter if you have an 'easy' looking fixture list until April. This Arsenal side realistically are gonna be in scrappy matches vs ANYONE in the league. There are no easy games.

now, everyone above you are pretty shit too so never say never but I'd say the odds of Arsenal finishing top 5 are very, very unlikely.

That said, I don't blame Arsenal fans for wonderinf if its possible. Better than thinking the season is over already and all you have to look forward to are Thursday nights against names harder to pronounce than your local kebab man's

could be interesting if Arsenal have a fully fit squad now though

Chelsea, United and Spurs all without their, arguably, key player.

a part of me almost hopes we all miss out and 2 of the 4 english teams in the CL next season are Leicester and Sheffield. Proud

Both of your teams have been quite poor recently, to be fair. The last Arsenal v Man United match was on the back of injuries to both Rashford and McTominay, and Arsenal had issues of their own with Ljungberg having recently been replaced by Arteta - which made for a pretty poor viewing, overall. I’ve had a soft spot for Arsenal since the 90s and most of my friends these days are Man United fans, so I was hoping for a decently entertaining match, but I’m pretty sure there would be more happiness and less wars in the world if that hadn’t been broadcasted on live TV.

danyjr wrote:Clear difference between the two incidents.

It is that last move by Son which cost him the red. He clearly stretches his legs further than what is natural. In Maguire's case, he is simply falling over with his legs up. No extension, no intention to do harm.

Also bear in mind watching something in slow motion can lead to the viewer misjudging things. A human's brain doesn't work in slow motion to make decisions. This is why I've been a critic of using VAR in slow motion in deciding handball because in slow motion many hand balls can appear to be intentional whereas the defender has no chance of reacting that quickly in real time.

A slow motion replay shall be used solely to judge whether the ball touched the hand, but to judge human intention to play the handball the replay should be played at full speed.

Are we watching the same clips?

First of all, VAR does both real-time and slow-motion, not only slo-mo.

Second of all, Maguire stretches his leg as far as he can when he sees Batshuayi's balls are in close proximity. It's clearly intentional whether or not you think Son's foul is more red card worthy. To a lesser extent or not, both are clear reds.

So let me get this clear. A person who is falling, is completely unbalanced with (literally) his feet in the air, and the one thing on his mind is to try to kick someone's balls? He isn't even facing Rudiger until the last half a second of that clip:

1. Identify where Rudiger's balls are
2. Decide to kick them
3. Actually kick them

All of that in less than 0.5 second while he unbalanced and on the floor.

No.

LOL. Here is the real-time footage you are shouting for. Clearly kicks him in the nuts with intent.

There is no reason for him to stretch his leg out that far, he's already lying on the ground.

it was so soft though, true he kicked out at him, but it clearly he just touched him at the and - nothing tremendous. At the end, im just happy United won. Pulls Chelsea closer and bunches up the CL battle. Both United and Chelsea are trash, and Son is injured for Spurs.

Prime time for Arsenal to start making their way up the table :coffee:

I want to put forward a thinking that none of you realize and you feel that a player from a another league would satisfy that.

Liverpool fucking FC are only doing this because, half of this club has lost the league twice by 2 points. They know what it takes and they know how it feels to be hurt unlike most of you who don't achieve shit.

They know draws arent good enough, so you aren't supposed to beat teams 5-0 when you can beat the 1-0 being shite, its about calming down and winning those games 1-0 then 5-4.

Losing these leagues have made them into mentality monsters and now YOU are suffering.

This is why we are winning, its not because this Liverpool is generational, or this Liverpool is the best anyone has ever seen.

Its because this Liverpool has lost, twice, they know now what it takes to win something.

Pretty much. Seems to be a thing with Kane.

They have a promising kid called Troy Parrott but I expect Mourinho will have to be down every possible option before giving him a go.
