Son is another one of those players that's only ever mentioned when there's occasion to laud him, when he's done something great.
There there's weeks and weeks where you don't hear anything about him.
With elite players, the expectation is they do something noteworthy every week. Proof that instinctively we know Son isn't one.

I’ve never been a big fan of Mourinho, but what makes you say that? Could’ve sworn the lot of you were excited to see him return to management, only a few months ago. Hell, a few Arsenal fans on here wanted him to be appointed as their manager up until just recently. Clearly, we’re a panel of experts on here

What makes me say that is that it's my opinion, and I don't remember having had a different one recently, so once again no fucking clue what you want from me

I think he was Tottenham’s best player by quite some distance in the CL final against Liverpool, and no one seemed to ever mention that. You have quite a tendency to hype up players out of nothing, yourself. It’s almost as if you don’t actually watch them consistently enough to warrant those trademark, grandiose verdicts of yours
Calm there down. Didn’t know you were on your period

So what's your opinion then, @Thimmy ?
Does Mourinho have enough to offer still to be an asset for a top club?
Is Son consistently great and effective enough so we should consider him an elite player?

Is this the most one sided premier league season in a while ?
What like 15 pts clear off the top ? Are you kidding me. Even SPL has smaller margins ffs.

Great comfortable win with a sub par performance. Fairly obvious that Mourinho at the 70th would alter the tactics as he always does and as expected he bought on two lads. It was upto Klopp to counter those changes and he went defensive with Origi and Lallana.
We would have won 2-1 anyways if they had scored.
Easy win when they have literally one chance other than 20 shots outside the box that would seem like they threatened us for the scared pussies, we move on against deniers and haters.

they had a few good opportunities to score, which with more composure they probably would have... i counted about 4

We could have scored 5 as well if Firmino's first shot blocked on the line with Ox's follow up against the post, Salah shot had gone in with the Sanchez slip, Gini's header late with Shaq's cross, VVD's header straight at Gazz, Mane's scissor volley above the bar. It literally goes down what you personally choose to believe in and how you feel.

Liverpool controlled the first half. Spurs the second half.

it seems like the last season's disappointment of missing on EPL Title so narrowly has just made this team insanely maniac in terms of not letting the guard down. I just cant explain it any other way. I honestly think on paper we are not so paar of other teams in EPL but it is just Klopp and the desire of players that has put us in this position.

That's the problem with Mourinho's tactical approach. They had 2 sitters at the end which they missed.
Liverpool too missed 2 sitters, yet at the beginning.
Missing sitters is not bad luck, it's to be expected. Good tactics make sure you create enough chances that you can win despite missing sitters, and don't concede too many chances.
Mou's Spurs concede chances all game yet then have to desperately convert the couple of chances they get at the end.
It's just plain shit tactics for a team that's expecting to win games. You rely on having prime Drogba for that nonsense to work out.

I haven't really watched much since Jose came in but he hasn't played much.
If that means he's a flop then yeah, but I don't expect him to light the world on fire if he doesn't get played. He's a technical player so he's the anti-Jose.

Trent's volley from 10 yards going wide, Firmino's shot within the box straight at the keeper.
It's literally what you choose to see.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter III
I don't think it's fair to say that Spurs should have won based off the chances but I think a pool win is harsh. Especially since Spurs missed two absolute sitters down 1-0. Not to many a host of half chances.
This was vintage Liverpool. Played well, can't say they deserved to lose, but how did they win? They were good in the first half, awful in the second.

I don't know why Nishank and Helmer are so defensive i literally just argued Nish's silly comment of Spurs only having one chance and the rest being 20 shots outside the box
