how do you rate this transfer window? I'm surprised they didn't chase more after CBs, obviously they tried to get a LB (tagliafico) and are keenly following the developments of Gaya's renewal talks with Valencia but still, I hoped we could get someone on loan

However going from the front line of Abde-Jutgla/Luuk-Ferran to Ferran-Aubameyang-Adama is pretty significant and I hope dembele isn't sidelined since we will need his explosive speed and unpredictability to secure some crucial points for sure

From a very slow attack, to one of the quickest in europe maybe.

I think its been pleasantly surprised actually, especially with a free Auba coming in. Adama was relatively cheap I guess and as u said means now we have much better pace and players able to make chances and actually score goals. This was the area who lacked the most, we just couldnt score for sooo many games. Not that now means we will score loads, we probably will still struggle to, but they are definitely upgrades to Barca Bs n Luuk.

I dont think we need strengthening at the back under the circumstances as in realistically. Firstly I know many cules think otherwise but for me Alba n Pique are still by far our best defenders, then we got Araujo who is good. Then Eric who Xavi clearly favours so not our choice there, as well as Mingueza. Then Dest n Alves. Only place we should think about is long term replacement for Alba cos hes aging so obviously he will just decline. Ideally also we need a WC CB n long term replacement for Pique but dont think we have the money for that...

I forgot that Aubameyang has of course a shared history with Dembélé, they harmonized well at BVB

Aubameyang is a really, really good signing for Barca, top goalscorer

Pure speculation, but lack of motivation seemed like it had become his primary issue. I also don't think he looks as exceptionally fast as he once was, and that was a big part of his game. He does have other qualities, though. I wouldn't be surprised if he performs well for Barcelona, as long as the motivation to perform is there.

Its not a matter of the rival, I personally think he's been good in every game since arrival, especially in terms of movement and finding himself in clear cut scoring positions as i said before

The future of Erling Haaland will be known before the 30th of April. If Barcelona cannot sign him, they will go out for Mohamed Salah. Between transfer fees and commissions, his transfer would cost around €80m or €90m. @fansjavimiguel

We can afford Salah just by selling Griezmann (40m) and Coutinho (30-50m) in the summer, offloading their salaries and getting 80m+ for both of them.

Laporta gave an interview yesterday, main takeaways:

— confirmed that a defender and midfielder have been signed as free agents (Christensen and Kessie)
— ruled out Haaland (and Mbappe) due to their wage demands
— confirmed he wants to bring Raphinha (in case Dembele leaves, presumably)
— loves Joao Felix and tried to swap him for Griezmann in the summer but Atleti declined
— Dembele doesnt want to accept new salary structure, possibly already has an agreement with another club, his agent is a "box of surprises"
— Messi won't return, there's no contacts or will for his comeback
— Gavi and Araujo renewals are progressing well
— wants to swap Adama with Trincao

in another news, SPORT says Salah has options to come to Barca and evaluates chances of it happening at 60% (Haaland 30% and Lewandowski 10%) which sounds reasonable.
