Zidane Reveals Dream Squad, Picks Messi Over CR7
Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has revealed his dream squad made up of ex-teammates and other football greats, and while Lionel Messi made the cut, Cristiano Ronaldo did not.

Zidane was recently asked to name his favourite XI of all time by Chinese news portal Zhibo8, as reported by FoxSportAsia, but chose 17 players instead of just 11. However, there was no space in his team for his former striker at Real, Ronaldo, who scored 112 goals in 114 appearances under the Frenchman.
Instead, Zidane chose the Portugal captain's namesake, retired Brazil striker Ronaldo Nazario, who played alongside the Frenchman at Los Blancos. In addition, he also picked Messi as well as Neymar to complete his forward line.
In midfield, he chose himself along with his former player Luka Modric, his former France teammate Claude Makelele and Andres Iniesta.
At the back, though, Zidane could not make up his mind, and eventually selected nine defenders. He opted for Dani Alves and Cafu at right-back, while Marcelo, Roberto Carlos and Paolo Maldini were chosen for the left-back position.
In addition, the 46-year-old named four centre-backs, namely his former Real captain Sergio Ramos, his World Cup-winning teammate Laurent Blanc, Brazil's Carlos Mozer and Germany's Karlheinz Forster.
He named Fabian Barthez, another teammate of his from the France team that beat Brazil in the 1998 World Cup final, as the goalkeeper of his dream squad.
Very strange not to select CR7. Considering they together own 3 UCL.

Well you would've to be an absolute idiot to pick otherwise. Zidane isn't media bound currently so there's that.
