Is Matip expected to replace him or Wijnaldium? This is an FPL headache...

I don't know how far Gomez is from returning, he's been playing right-back. Then it's between Fabinho and Milner.

Alexander-Arnold apparently ruled out for at least a month. Loaning out Clyne looks a bit foolish now.....

against midtable and lower teams, we should be fine !
Issue will be against Bayern, if he doesnt come back by then. It will be a double blow against Bayern
1. Missing Arnold
2. Klopp playing Fabinho at RB instead of midfield

Well the only positive is that this is happening in January, I doubt Klopp will spend but maybe Poch might enter the market.

Unbelievable getting rid of Clyne. I just can't wrap my head around that one.

Regarding Bayern, we tend to focus on one competition, giving our all in that and then finally bottling it. I won't be surprised if we don't turn up both legs against Bayern and concentrate on the league, tbh I don't mind as well.

Also before Arsenal fans again attack me for belittling something, y'all did better than us for decades and won FA cups yet its Arsenal fans that are quitting football for other sports (when they've had like one bad season) while Liverpool fans don't want those trophies and prefer the odd title challenge. Hypocrisy imo hmm

I see you've got your voice back all of a sudden

Let's see how Ole reacts at the first sign of adversity. I'm expecting a thrashing by PSG and everything to go downhill from there.

I don't expect your honeymoon period to last long. Would be funny if Spurs finish above you without Kane.

Son is away playing the Asian cup for Korea

Spurs are playing Arsenal, Dortmund and Chelsea (both cup and league) without Kane. It's game over for them unless they do the impossible and actually sign a player in January.

What a shambles Fulham has been. I mean just unbelievable. 100+ mil spent and all they got are 3 decent goalkeepers. No defense. No midfield and now no attack. Now they are going on and signing players like Ryan Babel. Laughing
Imo they deserve to go down the most. Wish a Bournemouth or a Brighton had that much money to spend.

As Klopp would say, we take every opponent seriously. But Bayern at the moment is slightly more amusing than MU under Mou.

Post by CBarca Wed Jan 16, 2019 8:35 pm

Finally got around to seeing the highlights of the Spurs-Man U game. Seems like Man U managed to really get away with one against a Spurs team that became progressively...erm, injured...over the course of the game. Half decent finishing and Spurs win it, really. And no, I don't think it wast that impressive of a game from De Gea. Spurs just bottled it. He had a good game though.

The injuries are more concerning than the result, but anyone who expected Spurs to keep pushing at the top after making zero reinforcements in the summer were in dreamland. Now they have a difficult task ahead of them.

By the way, just what in the hell do Spurs think they're doing by selling Dembele when the team needs that sort of quality in midfield the most?

The stadium must be keeping the tightest of lids on finances because that's one of the worst decisions I've seen in a long time. Let him leave on a free in the summer, but at least keep him to secure top 4 and hopefully a quarters (or farther) CL appearance. Not to mention the Caraboo Cup and FA Cup.

Mindboggling.

Llorente is the like for like replacement. My guess is Lucas up front with Lamela-Eriksen-Dele behind him. I would imagine that gets more playing time than Llorente. Poch doesn't seem to trust Llorente too much.

Didn't Dembele say he can't play 90 mins in the PL anymore because of his injuries? Seems like getting any fee for him would have been the right call.

It'd be more puzzling if Spurs don't sign anyone to replace him this window. Obviously the stadium move is tying up most the club's cash atm but you'd think they'd have someone lined up, even if only on a loan, to replace him.

Or maybe that Skipp kid is that good and worth more minutes?
