you must admit though, the way he makes it all about himself is uncanny. Not in a Trump way but in a funny way. Some of his decisions are rubbish but he could take on a high profile game and not break a sweatMyesyats wrote:halamadrid2 wrote:Mateu Lahoz is like the coolest referee in Europe
He's a worthless piece of trash and shouldnt be a professional let alone a international ref.

Salah still top scorer after this horrific form.
Anyways, I have no word to describe this, its not surprising but we've stop taking all risks.
Getting Firmino on at HT was too late.

He's had 3 or 4 top chances like that which he stumbled away already, and he does that 5 times in every game. He's not fit at all, neither mentally nor physically.rincon wrote:Salah would have scored that last year for sure. Needs a break.

Robertson is easily Liverpool's best player.
He never has a bad game, on a night like this he's head and shoulders above his teammates and puts in one good cross after the other.

Had to google that not only is Origi still a fully paid Pool player but so is Danny Ings, neat. Also, yeah, Robertson is their best player (to me, Whoscored has it as Milner and Mane oddly enough) but Red Star is deservedly leading and it would suck if they let this slip.

He really is. Elite left back if he can keep this up.

Keep what up?
Positionally he's perfect, he's not part of the current fad of a full back either being too attacking or too defensive. Perfect positional sense. Tackling on the mark. Crossing yes. Workrate hell yea. enoughhh

Liverpool took this for granted.

Exactly. All of that.
His movement, positioning, tactical behaviour, innate sense of positioning balance, defending timing, tidyness on the ball (keeping it simple and doing the basics right), marvelous.

Or Zambrotta. One wonders why it took Klopp so long to give him his chance over Moreno but worth every penny. That being said, Pool looked for this loss, underestimated their opponent nicely.

Ironically Klopp left Shaqiri out to „concentrate on football“ which ended up with Zvezda actually focusing on football and get the result.

I know the team is much better now than it was when klopp took over and people say he’s a great manager and doing a great job but does anyone look at the Liverpool team and truely believe it can challenge and win any of the big prizes. I like watching the team play and we play some good stuff sometimes but in the big games when the pressure is on the players and manager seems to always come up short.

Liverpool didn't really have an idea of what to do. The ball was circulating between 3/4 players. No movement, the moment the ball fell to Mane, it was a turnover. Why was he playing RW anyways, isn't he best on the left. The left wing died as soon as he switched side. Firmino I didn't even notice all half. Served no purpose in this game

Klopp changed at half time, pulled Mané to the right and Firmino (on for Sturridge) to the left with Salah trying to get into scoring positions in between them.
Worked much better than the first half tbf. Mané was the best of the attacking trio anyway, no matter what side he played on.

Well, he is their marquee creator in the attacking third. As with my Ligue 1 watch, Mbappe and Neymar really have a lovely chemistry going on.
