Oh, he was. I've never seen anyone get close to how consistently accurate he was. A tier above the rest. A true freekick specialist. At the moment, I'd say it's between Messi and Pjanic from what I've seen in recent time.

Juninho also had a period when he was very very consistent like Messi.

But generally speaking, Juninho's technique was superior, mainly because he had more range than Messi. He was super dangerous from longer distances, and his delivery on freekicks played in the box was also outstanding.

So yea, i think Juninho was better

Free kicks were like penalties to Juninho, he had an insane conversion rate and he is the player that scored most free kicks in football history. He could score them from anywhere, close range, from distance you name it.

Yeah Juninho is currently goat at freekicks, Zico was another great one although it was easier then to score.

Another one of those crazy games for Messi, greates 5 big chances, breaks the bus under the wall, two goals, two posts. Good luck for everyone else.
