Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Higuain is nowhere near finished.
He was great in Milan until that red card completely set him off in doubt and even then his general play was superb.
Not his fault he was shooed into a team that is a current reality show, has a gulf between the midfield and attacking line and just a general mess.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
He may not be finished, but it's hard to imagine a top club dropping big money on him now. And I am more curious where he will end up. Probably too expensive for Roma. Not sure if Inter would take the risk, but they probably would.

His price is 36m, we already got paid 18m this season.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
'Chelsea have signed Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy him for 36m euros (£31.3m).
The Blues also have the option to extend the Argentine's loan deal until June 2020 for 18m euros (£15.6m).'
Unless Mehlan paid you 18m for 5 months of football, which I find absurd to even consider.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Higuain's price tag was 54m, 18m from Milan to Juve for the loan for the season + 36m option in the summer.
Milan then negotiated their deal with Chelsea, on terms between them. Now another option for the next season for 18m again to Chelsea, or 36m to sign outright.

Milan Circus show.
So it seems like you've pocketed 18m and will probably get him back this summer.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Not sure about finished but he has been on the decline ever since the second season with juve. And honestly he was always gonna flop with us no matter what because he's expected to replicate his 2016 form with Sarri and because our offensive problems are about chance creation and also just having the striker in the box and no one else, and not who the striker in the box is.
The reason I'm pissed with him is that he refused to take the penalty and we had 3 defenders taking them as a result. What a bitch ffs

Yeah agreed, that was a lot more notable than missing the pen. Them having even 5% of his career is overstating it. They aren't even at 1%

Higuain could eat a large buffet dinner and shit on the field and it would have more talents than any player on the philadelphia union lmao

That is pretty cringe by the opposition players. Although I don't know how the penalty was awarded, I would understand that reaction if it was a bs penalty.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Higuain is known to be very emotional and that has been the exact reason for his worst moments in football football be it his breakdown v Juventus in 2019 to his misses.
And its shown here but little man syndrome also is within the Union players (for whatever reason someone can explain) but it isn't an exaggeration to say he will be remembered as a great striker while basically none of them will be beyond the small MLS pond.

Re: Gonzalo Higuain takes his talents to South Beach
Everytime higs comes up small there is always neat excuse followed up with still a great striker, that eternal good will, just so he be can forever above certain cf without achieving anything when he had his chances to lead teams, with that Killer Mentality and Killer Finishing that he known for some reason.
Emotional? Just a choker in big moments always been that way, people only pity him cause he immediately cries right after, I have seen another forward perform with the media and fans all against him, scores big goals, break records and won trophies gets treated like a coward, so higuain can be ahead of him, cause so many fanboys can't be wrong?
Higuain is a good cf and starting one for couple elite teams but that it, if higs was half unbelievable as the things you guys say, he would have shown up atleast half the time, over years but he gets a free pass everytime, like seriously wtf is he doing in the MLS already?

Don't think Chad has gotten the memo that it isn't 2013 anymore and Higgy isn't competing for the starting CF role with Benzema

I thought he went to MLS pretty early too, but upon further research, he's gone to MLS at the same age as Kaka and David Villa.
Not everyone has to keep playing in Europe until 36 or 38.
