Chelsea are ready to activate Mauro Icardi’s €110m release clause. Roman Abramovich is looking to please Sarri with attack reinforcements. It’s now up to Icardi. He currently earns €5.3m but wants €8m per year, Chelsea can easily satisfy him. (Corriere dello Sport)

Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello talked to Rmc Sport about the future of Mauro Icardi who is being linked with moves to Chelsea and Juventus: “We will do everything we can to keep the captain here at Inter”, Antonello said.

“He is a vital player for us. Juventus? There are many rumours but we must remain calm we have our plans. We need to close the financial year first and then we will think about which players we can sign.”

The UCL is important for our finances and for our fans. We want to have a competitive team for next season but Inter also need to respect the FFP rules.”

People rioted when juve was linked to Guarin ffs.

There's a chance we will not satisfy his salary request so he could actually leave if he follows money. But imo it's still a small chance.

IDK. Plenty of top clubs have worse CF starting.

I think Icardi would start for literally every team actually.

United, City, Chelsea, maybe not Arsenal, Spurs, Atleti. Barca, Real, Bayern

I do think he's inconsistent when I've seen him in big games anyway...but I just don't rate what's out there above him currently

Inter and Juventus are reportedly in talks to complete a swap deal between Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain. The CEO of Pirelli commented the rumours after attending an event in Naples on Wednesday afternoon: “Let Inter and Juve take a final decision on this [the swap deal]”, Tronchetti Provera said. “They are two great strikers and anything can happen during negotiations.”

This is all posturing from him and his wife to get a massive contract. Inter are going to panic and give him 8M net wages. Book it.

Getting Icardi doesnt solve anything for us except that we'll be getting a younger striker. If we have to rely on Can's and Matuidi's for our midfield next season as a result of this potential deal, then this would be poor move IMO.

I've said Higuain is a better option for Argentina due to them having a poor midfield etc.

btw I don't even agree with the move.

Icardi is talented inside the box no doubts but offers nothing else plus has a shitty character and a slutty wife , a perfect combo to be Inter's captain.

So if we do a swap Higuain > Icardi we'll only get a younger talented striker with the above mentioned weaknesses. If we add more than 20/30m as well then it's a pretty decent deal for Inter and we end up slighlty overpaying again.

That said , if the deal happens it should be painful to see from a Inter fan prespective and I can already see that from Robes.
I wouldn't want to be in a position where Buffon , Del Piero or even Chiellini nowadays leave Juve for Inter.

Yeah won't happen unless Inter are forced by FFP and they fail to collect the needed money from other deals or from selling Icardi aboard.
There is definetly smth going on and the offer could be real imo but it's nearly impossible to go through.

but lmao Robes is already mad and pissed off just hearing about it.

Hopefully this deal wont complete as neither inter fans deserve that pain and neither do us deserve another summer when we invest in attack and have Sturaro & Khedira compete for a starting spot in midfield.
