Seems far-fetched to me but I also don't know why he would consider Chelsea without CL football. Has he really given up on the CL or what ?

by selling Cavani, that's how they can raise money.

How much can they realistically raise from a Cavani sale especially when we're talking about figures of over €100M required to buy Lewandowski

I dont see how Lewandowski is superior to Cavani, i would argue that a team like Chelsea willling to spend 100 mil on Lewy, should be ready to spend as much for Cavani.

Age ? Lewandowski is like 1.5 years younger. Granted it's not much of a difference but Robert plays for a club who normally don't sell top players under any circumstances vs a club, who this time is required to sell their top player(s) to 'raise money' so they can buy another top player ?

Bayern obviously sit in a better bargaining position in said scenario.

Yeah I in no way see a team paying 100m for Lewy or Cavani at 31. I honestly think PSG won't sign Mbappe unless they're forced to or will sell Neymar to evade FFP.

Chelsea could sign Cavani or Lewy but I feel it's contingent upon the sale of Morata to recoup that 70m they wasted.

Both Manchester teams are in no need of a striker and those are the only others that would spend mega money

Neymar is only there for marketing. Seeing how things turned out, Neymar leaving to Real Madrid would suit any party who take part in this saga. It's just Qatar Industries don't want to lose the face, as Neymar leaving after 1 year would affect the club's image.

I don't think Carlo would've agreed to sign with Napoli hadn't they given him guarantees about his transfer targets. So assuming he's truly moving there, Napoli will most definitely make sure to give him the players he wants.

But I agree about the move being a little weird. No disrespect to them of course, but they're definitely overachieving with his appointment. Or maybe Carlo is just looking for a decent club without a lot of pressure to work quietly and peacefully.

Nope. They practically play the same position and have similar movements in the pitch. You won't get the best out of both in the event both played together.

Don't lie BTW because nobody thought it would work, but a good manager made it work and you damn well it wouldn't have worked with Mourinho.

Same with Pogba and SMS tbh, there's no reason why a good manager couldn't make it work in a midfield 3 of some sort.
