Drinkwater and Barkley were understandable because Chelsea hit that 17-man limit and needed depth. However, in this case they have two keepers in Courtois and Caballero (and United had De Gea and Romero). If Courtois leaves, they're going to replace him. It'd be a simple one-to-one swap.

I don't know, Green (and Grant at United) just seems extraneous. It's a role a young keeper can fill quite easily since u21 players don't need to be registered.

I've been saying this for years, but Chelsea want 3 experienced GK's. It's better than having Eduardo or Schwarzer there

Alphonso Davies is by far the best canadian player i've ever seen

Tall, damn fast, not very strong physically his style is more to evade tackles than scrumming vs defenders. Great ability to find open space.
Technically a superior talent, he excels in 1v1 and his vision of play makes teammates look better.

I cannot name one major flaw because MLS is too poor of a league for him, simple as that. I guess to succeed in Europe he must improve his finishing (has tendency to either go for the assist or hold the ball too long). Add muscle is also needed.

To be fair i see him as Canada's only hope on the short term. Soccer Canada is a clueless federation, they have struggles to develop real talent and you just know the marketing is based solely on him. Sky is the limit.

Realistically he can end up having a relevant career in Europe. Probably not at Bayern let's be frank, it will end up as the classical "many loans" narrative, but being a pillar in a team such as Everton, Leipzig, Schalke 04 whatever would make me happy.
