We need Sturaro to cover for Marchisio. We need Marchisio to dictate the play. We need Matuidi and Costa to carry the ball forward. We need Dybala close to Higuain so neither of them are isolated. We need both Asamoah and De Sciglio to be solid as frak.
With the players we currently have available we need the perfect game. Lord save us.

-Khedira said his substitution was just precautionary, he's fine
-Cuadrado is about 20 days out from returning- maybe in time for the second leg of the CL
-Bernardeschi still to be re-evaluated, I've seen no update yet. I'm hoping his season is not over but I'm aware it could be. I think it's a similar situation to Neymar, from what I've read

Faking an injury to rest up for the WC? Does he know that Italy is eliminated?

An injury that may require surgery depending on how the next set of scans go

My bad. It was more of a jab at Neymar than anything against Italy.

From what i read Bernardeschi is currently healed by the Juve doctors. Within a week or so, they check if the treatment has worked. If not, he needs surgery.
If he is not 100% fit, i'd prefer the surgery solution instead of coming back too soon and worsen his case. Knee injuries are the most vicious for a footballer.

I hope that against Real Madrid we play attacking football, because if we play deep like against Tottenham, we will lose at least 3-0. Barzagli cannot play in the wing. If we have Lichtsteiner or MDS available, either must play.
We should have more or less this line-up:
Buffon
Licht/MDS-Chiellini-Rugani (preferrrably)-Sandro (if fit)
Khedira (Doubt Marchisio will play)-Matuidi
Costa-Dybala-Mandzukic
Higuain
I don't mind if we play with 433, Sandro left wing and Asamoah LB, Costa our secret weapon, but most importantly I don't want to see Barzagli on the right! We will be massacred if this happens!

Uruguay crazy by Bentancur: it is also a solution for Allegri
Rodrigo Bentancur pillar of Uruguay . The '97 class, owner in both races played by his national team in the China Cup then won, has made his people fall in love. Very young, he took an important place in the hierarchies and no longer intends to leave him. The last two tests were extremely convincing in every respect. Quality, personality, determination. Perfect mix. And so at minute 2 of the race with Wales lights up with a throw of 40 meters to rub his eyes, then directs the game with serenity in both the strait and open field. A perfect signal also for Allegri, who will replace Pjanic against Real.

A headache for Allegri?

He's just abit raw for my liking I would just concede first leg best result we can hope for is a nil nil and just play sturaro, matuidi and khedira in midfield and sit back and park the bus

Just the opposite for me mate. If we try to park the bus I think we’ll get hammered. We did this against Tottenham in Torino with a 2 goal lead and bottled it and they don’t have half the quality of Real Madrid up front or in terms of experience.
Real will score against us in both legs barring something miraculous. The thing is, we have the quality to certainly do the same with them and know we can score home and away, I think that’s the key

Imo both teams are scoring in both legs. We'll who can come out on top. I can see it being settled by away goals.

I sense a 4231 for the game on tuesday:
Licht/MDS-Chiellini-Barzagli-Sandro/Asamoah
Khedira-Matuidi
Costa-Dybala-Mandzukic
Higuain
I guess that tomorrow we will know more from Allegri.
LIVE VINOVO - Workout completed. Alex Sandro and Bernardeschi in group. Customized for Mandzukic. Cooling for those who played yesterday. Tomorrow at 7:20 pm Allegri will speak
7:19 pm
TOMORROW AT 7:20 pm I WILL TALK ABOUT - Tomorrow afternoon, Juventus will train for the match against Real Madrid. Following Massimiliano Allegri together with a Juventus player will speak at a press conference at 19:20. The coach from Livorno on Tuesday could rely on 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1, but the last training decisions will only be taken close to the start of the Champions League quarter-final match. To replace the disqualified Pjanic, Allegri is thinking of relying on Bentancur. In place of Benatia, however, there should be Barzagli. As for Mandzukic who has done a personalized job today, we will have to wait until tomorrow to see if he will be called up or not.
15:23 - PERSONALIZED FOR MANDZUKIC - According to Sky Sport, Mario Mandzukic today dedicated himself to a personalized session. The number 17 Juventus, however, could be called for Tuesday's match against Real Madrid.
2:03 pm - ALEX SANDRO AND BERNARDESCHI IN THE GROUP with a new training scheduled in the afternoon. Here is the complete program of Juve-Real Madrid's eve ", reads Juventus.com.

Allegri: 'Juve organised chaos'
By Football Italia staff
Max Allegri described his ability to change games with substitutions after Juventus beat Milan as “some organised chaos.”
The Bianconeri saw Paulo Dybala’s opener wiped out by Leonardo Bonucci, but Juan Cuadrado came off the bench to score and Sami Khedira added a third late on.
“Making changes sometimes go right, sometimes they go wrong,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“I remember the first Scudetto at Milan, we had the likes of Antonio Cassano, Alexandre Pato and Kevin-Prince Boateng. A year later, I didn’t have any reserves to call on and was left high and dry at the 60th minute.
“At times you need to throw someone into the mix and create some organised chaos.”
Allegri will have to make some changes in Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid, as Miralem Pjanic and Medhi Benatia are suspended.
“Either Claudio Marchisio or Rodrigo Bentancur will start in midfield.”

Marchisio!!!! I can't wait to see him start! Marchisio is the right choice!

Gazetta and tuttjuve both point to the same formation.
Marchisio and Barzagli so far losing the race for the two contested spots.

I'd go for Rugani as well, but I would have preferred to see him against Milan first to test his fitness and see how ready he is.

Juventus (4-4-2): Buffon; De Sciglio, Barzagli, Chiellini, Asamoah; Douglas Costa, Khedira, Bentancur, Alex Sandro; Dybala, Higuain.
A solid 442. At least Barzagli will not play as a RB!

Funny that
years of our net spend, yes our *bleep* net spend being on par with Southampton alongside an open door transfer policy doesn't win you a CL
You can't even fluke a CL these days by parking the bus because the top teams deal with that consistently and easily.
Don't care any more. After Cardiff I made peace with us never winning a CL in my lifetime (Short of worldwide transfer/wage caps or new ownership)
It's just hilarious how long it's taken people to realise we're not actually the epitome of a well run club, we're just very very frugal. Dominating this shit league isn't even a spectacular achievement either.
We're PSG in a slightly, and I mean slightly better league. Without 1/10th of the cash of course.

Re: Juventus 2017/2018 Champions League Winners Thread
We must be careful not to re-write history Tom. The last several seasons have been very kind to us and unlike PSG, we have progressed further than them in the Champions League in just about each season and yes, with a lower budget and a tougher league to contend with (any way you spin this it's a fact).
As for now, this is what's important and what matters. What's next? I think we called it in the summer when we said its time to transition and we've seen glimpses of that but right now, I would hope were looking to sell anyone if the offer is right because no one is worthy so I have no emotional attachment to players who can't make a 5 yard pass in the CL at home and I hope we do go for big players, or players with big hearts because tonight was one of the worst performances I've seen in a long time

Errors in all the wrong times. Costa, De Sciglio, Bentancur, Barzagli, Dybala!
Amazing that Khedira finally showed up and then we lose.
Wrecked by Ronaldo once again.
