Anybody with doubts about VAR should watch highlights of the Tottenham-Rochdale game. Had a legitimate goal disallowed, and then a legitimate penalty not given after VAR review
1-0 from Son

Now they've given Tottenham a penalty which I don't think was
Absolute disaster right now
EDIT: Crowd is booing every time the referee is waiting for VAR
EDIT 2: Apparently if you stutter step during a penalty, you lose the penalty so the Son penalty is chalked off
LMAO Rochdale score now

Re: 2017/18 English Football League Carabao Cup and FA Cup thread
Spurs second team is embarrassing, I realize that the weather is bad and that the refs are *bleep* you, but you have to put your head down and beat an inferior team. This is the second time they've played down to Rochdale. Are you kidding me? They look like Arsenal out there. Disgraceful
As for refs and VAR, if this is how it's going to be implemented, I don't want it. The ref standing there with his hand on his ear for almost every decision, making the wrong decisions, players are waiting, both teams visibly frustrated, the fans are booing, by the end of the game it's going to have added yet another 10-14 minutes onto the game.
VAR should be a good thing, but this game is proof that you need a competent crew to be able to implement it, otherwise it ruins the game

plenty of starters in that Spurs 11 and let's not pretend there were none in the first leg either
Spurs are just a joke and will bottle top 4 this season and lose to Juve too

Re: 2017/18 English Football League Carabao Cup and FA Cup thread
Trippier (arguable), Dier (arguable since Wanyama has come back) and one of Son/Lamela are the only starters. They're all good enough players though, but there isn't anything wrong with calling it a second team, that's exactly what it is.
They'll come out in the second half and win it. I can understand to some extent when you've had a goal disallowed and a legitimate penalty waved off (and then another penalty which is honestly Son's fault, apparently feinting the penalty means you don't get a retake anymore), why you'd be upset and play down a bit. Still a weak mentality.
Imagine a Man U fan calling another team (other than Liverpool) a joke you guys were destroyed by a Montella coached Sevilla, who are far worse than Rochdale

Wasnt Aubameyang the fastest player over certain distance? The way Kompany able to match the pace, amazing
Arsenal fans... really feel sorry for them, after all these years of suffering, and still stuck with Wenger, oh dear.
