I had too but i just did some research looking at rest of the year lol.

Well you know how i felt about the original, i could easily see myself buying it if certain aspects were improved.

I bought Destiny because there were hardly any other titles available for consoles at the time. I think you mean CoD: Ghosts. I think that was the only available CoD game back then.

The games of the series (Drakengard and Nier) have a huge cult following, so I imagine everyone saying that its the best game they've ever played, are those fans. They are different and usually have really messed up stories that can get really dark and unexpected, some people love it. I played a bit of Drakengard but in the end the gameplay put me off, didn't finish it.

I've had to go 2 days with EA Access ffs, never thought I would miss playing Battlefront and Need for Speed this much.

On Destiny 2, I played the first game alot, probably more than anyone else on here apart from Red, so I'll be brutally honest, the game really didn't live up to the hype intially. The story was bad, the loot drops were terrible and the world was boring to play in.

This makes me cautious about the second game. Bungie fixed much, though not all, of what was wrong with the base game through their expansions, but their obsession with tying PvE and PvP balancing together led to the gameplay aspect suffering.

Like someone I know once said, "Destiny's PvP becoming popular is the worst thing that happened to the game". The game in it's 2nd and 3rd year didn't feel anyway near as satisfying to play as it did in the 1st year because weapons kept on getting nerfed due to being overpowered in PvP, and this bled through to PvE. I will forever be mad with the crazy amount of Secondary weapon nerfs(mainly shotguns) that it led to, those weapons got ruined.

The gameplay was what kept me playing Destiny in it's early days despite all the problems it had, and the degradation of that gameplay was what made me stop playing it. If Bungie still continues with that shit instead of growing a brain and do what other devs do and just separate PvE and PvP balancing, then I am not looking forward to Destiny 2 at all.

Nier: Automata is a great, arguably fantastic game and I recommend it to anyone who can be bothered to play through the main story twice, just to be able to unlock more content and get a sense of how good the game actually is. It's one of the most unique games I've ever played, and I was definitely wrong to judge it after my first play-through. Forcing you to play through the first half of the game twice, with relatively little variation, is a cancerous concept in a game that's actually quite brilliant as long as you're willing to invest the time and effort to see all it has to offer.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of casual players who bought the game, gave up on it after they completed the base story. I'm glad I didn't do it, myself. I finally understand why it's such a highly esteemed game, despite it's glaring flaws
