Man our midfield is so *bleep* good. A mixture of everything. A midfield masterclass this was. What a team effort, why couldn't we defend like this against Barca ffs

I don't even know why we bother with the likes of Coentrao and Danilowhen we have Canteranos ready to come on and put in a proper shift whenever called upon

Atleti got absolutey nowhere, ZZ learnt from his mistake and switched to a 451 instead of a 442 which gave Correa no space in the middle

I hope Zidane does what has to be done in terms of player selection. I feel like Bale is one of the only things that may stop us now. Hope Carvajal is ok.

If this team goes on to win CL this year, we will have a Legacy Golden Generation in our hands that will be remembered as 2nd only to Di Stefano's side.

That was master class from Kroos and Modric.

Especially the latter has been average this season and suddenly comes up with a huge performance.

Besides the Grameiro chance, Atleti had and did nothing. Not one damn thing. Defended way too deep and whenever they decided to venture forward, they met a proper defensive structure that made sure that had nothing to work with.

Great game all around, even the much maligned (for good reason) Benzema showed up to play. Of course, I expect a frustrating La Liga match this weekend but after today, why not yes.

Well Carvajal is out it can't be helped. unless you wanted Coentrao or Nacho there, what other choice is there?

I don't want anything fancy. Just seal the deal and prepare for la liga when we're done.

Nacho would have been the superior choice as RB than Danilo. Bless the latter but he simply just enjoys players dribbling pass him. Also, Nacho is a better fullback than CB anyway.

if something happens to the cbs though he would be required to fill in. better he comes in fresh as he is "good but not quite" at cb. though if it were me, coentrao is the answer that i do agree but Zidane chose Danilo and we'll see how it plays out.

It's time for Danilo to step up, if he gets embarrassed tonight and we still make it to the final, at least it will be an easier choice for Zidane to replace Carvajal if absent in the final with Nacho, who btw probably deserves the rest.

you know that's not happening right? transfer wise, we need to play danilo so his value don't drop further than it already has should we decide to sell him. I'm just hoping carvajal makes it for the final.

This game is going to have a lot of fireworks. Atleti didn't like our tifo and have basically called us arrogant. Their fans are normally hostile as it is but will be even more now. I hope the ref is up for it

Cafu ffs... people always forget Cafu. He was the best of the bunch to me.

Those guys weren't known for great defense. But they weren't exactly easy to get past. They put in the effort to get into proper playing positions at least.
