Kroos was tired, Pepe got injured and Bale was invisible.
 Nothing wrong with the subs.  The subs just didn't play well.

Reason Kroos was subbed... Atleti were starting to dominate that side as Kroos was getting tired.

We lost because of a turnover... and bad luck in terms of finishing from our strikers.

Why not put Kovacic on? he is an actual natural midfielder, isco was useless so Zidane can be blamed for that, he chose the wrong sub and they performed poorly

Really?  Did you not see him turn the ball over and then kick out... and the Torres chance came again because he was getting late with his recovery so it opened space to the back 4 for forwards to make runs.  Etc.

I saw it.  Isco just didn't do much better.  We have all AMs as subs.

Need to watch the action off the ball... not always on the ball guys. He was great for first 65-70 mins then started being late in everything he did. All the danger was coming from his side as a result.

that's not true, Kovacic is a CM and if we have all AMs on the bench it's Zidane's fault too for not recruiting better depth lol

You can't put players on at the 80th min and expect them to perform. Kroos couldn't have possibly been tired when he was rested against Leganes. None of the subs panned out. ZZ not only waited top long to make them but also subbed wrong players for the wrong players

Taking off Benzema and Bale was the right thing to do when Atletico were stretching us. Instead he went 442 and did Benzema and Ronaldo hold the ball up ? No. Were they able to defend ? No. Then why let them stay.

Or because nobody listened to him. You know as well as I do that he asked for Kante or Pogba. But Flo/Management didn't go for it.

Benzema would have gone out if Pepe weren't injured. He was more concerned with getting the defensive shape of the 8 to stay solid then his strikers since he was ahead.

And guess what, Simeone responded with putting Correa in the hole since we went 442 and casemiro was no longer in the hole.

451 and Casemiro at where he usually plays and that goal never happens. We wrap the game up.

Kovacic is a CM in my book, not an attacking mid. and again, Kante and Pogba arent the only midfielders in europe, maybe the only one zidane knows, but when you go into a season without getting help, this happens.

If People or Varane were there instead of Nacho, that's never a 1v1. Nacho neither went for the ball nor played the man.

A draw is a shame but it is what it is.
