Real Madrid vs Osasuna
The stupid internationals are finally over and we can start focusing on what's really important. ZZ is giving rests to James, Marcelo and Casemiro due to long flight hauls and playing later than the rest. Isco is still injured which has made us kind of short in midfield
Squad list:
GK: All of them
Defenders: Danilo, Pepe, Varane, Ramos, Nacho and Carvajal
Midfielders: Kova, Kroos and Modric
Forwards: Lucas, Mariano, Benz, Morata, Ronaldo, Bale and Asensio

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
After the cancer that I had to go through with my own country's WC qualification matches (2-2 and 0-4 respectfully), I relish seeing Madrid again.
And CR's back, yipping yay!

He hasn't played for a while so he'll probably be alittle rusty. I don't think he should start, he should come on in the second half in order to kind of work up his match fittness
I feel your pain doc we just about got away with a 1-1 draw at home......

Official line up:
Casilla; Danilo, Pepe, Ramos, Nacho; Modric, Kroos, Kovacic; Cristiano, Bale y Morata
Not sure how I feel about Ronaldo starting after being out for so long. Glad to see Nacho get playing time. Other thqn that predictable line up really

It's going to be interesting to see how are we going to create without our creative fullbacks. We'll see...

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
Comfortable half. Osasuna not mounting too much of a challenge. Just get Morata that goal, he deserves it after this half
Are we the best set piece team? Cant think of any other teqm right now that scores so much from set pieces.

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
I'd rather not we rely solely on set-pieces. Goals from open play shows you're tactically sound and don't have to rely on individual brilliance to bail you out.
Set-pieces are very important, and I'm glad we have players who take advantage of that; ronaldo and Ramos' heading for example is second to none.
But it would be also nice to play the ball from the back and score from open play while having a proper, shrewd tactical plan.
But then again, it's too early to wish for that. I'm just happy we're racking up points at the moment. We can worry about the rest later, in the second half of the season.
As long as we're winning, I have nothing to complain about.
And let's not forget, Case, Isco, Benzema, Carvajal, Marcelo, James and Navas aren't even playing.

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
Nice comfortable game. Not too worried about the goals, they came when Asensio was subbed in for Modric, aka a CM for a CAM/winger. Both goals and the penalty came from that side. Nice to have Pepe back, he is a monster
Danilo had a fabulous game and so did Kroos and Modric. Kroos is on a roll this season i tell ya. He is attacking more and getting into good positions to shoot. Excellent game by him
Kiko meh should have done better for both goals. Even the play before the penalty was poor by him. Other than that he had nothing to do. Nice save for the penalty

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
The goals came from just poor defending which surprises me not a single bit. What I can't deny is how really well Osasuna took them especially the looping header. Well done.
3 wins from 3 and things starting to show a lil more promise.

We have equalled our record for most wins in a row. Next week we can equal Fraudrique's record with Barca. Can't wait to troll futbol tbh
Hoping for a Llorente masterclass this evening. Come on son, the whole of Madrid are behind you

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
pepe didn't have by any stretch a monstrous game as the first goal came because he lost his marker.
kroos and modric at the moment are easily the best in the world.

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
Didn't lose his marker. Just didn't bother attempt the header for some reason. First goal is definitely on him. Other than that a flawless game.
We all thank the fax machine all the time but has anyone thanked Bayern for generously offering us Kroos for peanuts well if wr haven't then here you have it:

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
I was planning on sending Hans a gift basket of fruits to give to Bayern Munich as a thank you gesture for Kroos but lord knows I would just eat the fruits and send the basket.

Re: Real Madrid vs Osasuna
Llorente was absolutely fabulous. He doesn't shy away from doing the dirty work. Loved his grit and how calm he was on the ball. Our future CDM sorted imo. Casemiro and Llorente will be with us for a long long time
