Mario Lemina - The New Pogba or the new Vidal?

This guy is amazing so far in the preseason, last year before the injury he showed so much potential and was the bright spot in the dark period in the beginning. He can play almost any role in midfield but excels in b2b position even thou we use him as DM now and then. We turned down offers from 25m and 30m as reported.

The rest of preseason:

He looks a lot physically stronger compared to last season.

With that being said:
-preseason
-still not sure of his best role in the midfield [but with Pjanic in the midfield as a regista, it makes it much simpler as Lemina was awful in that role when tried last season]
-still a lack of tactical awareness

He has very excellent technique and he is rather physically imposing

I wouldn't compare him to either Vidal or Pogba though, he's not nearly as talented as Pogba and he is not as much of a beast as Vidal

Lemina is Pogba lite. Even right down to his hair. He is also French but unfortunately for France he rejected them and has chosen to play for Gabon.

He is a box to box midfielder who will flourish in Pogba's old role. He looks to have the same type of playing style as Pogba, so it will be interesting to see how Allegri plays him this year.

He looks to be a star in the making though. At $10 million total cost he looks to be another steal by the greatest Director General in the game, Giuseppe Marotta.

Pogba, Vidal and now Lemina. If there is an up and coming box to box midfielder who is a rising star Marotta will find him and buy him for a song.

He will probably be ok with being Lemina.

At OM, he had a bad attitude and was incredibly dumb on the pitch.  Unless he developed a brain, he will tease you by making good showings and then completely lose his mind at the worse times.

He's neither Pogba nor Vidal.  Nowhere near the talent to begin with.

I take it the question refers to his hairstyle? Tough to say.

True world class or aspiring to become world class players are never the next whoever for very long, they easily find their own feet and become the first them. It's always a telling sign if a player is fulfilling his potential or not.

He didn't show enough last year, and should definitely not be playing in front of the defense for us. This preseason he looks really improved though, lets see.

He's actually a good kid from all accounts...  was just very immature and made some bad decisions at OM.  Followed others who weren't such good people. Wish him well.  Technique has always been his strong suit.  Really good for a DM on that front.  Just needs to put it all together.

Could become a very solid player if he develops.

Juve didn't breathe that match. Bielsa was the manager and they'd already had 6-7 preseason games (typical Bielsa) and they played it at full intensity.

And..... it was a preseason game

Yeah we got boned that game against Marseille. Our intensity was nowhere near their's.

Lemina is interesting though, he is looking good. Set to start our first game tonight since Pjanic had a knock.

Problem is he won't play mezzala but will be in front of the defense. We'll see. At least it keeps Hernanes on the bench.
