Anyway, yes, quite excited about this signing. Odd as that is, considering I don't believe I'd even heard of him 2 weeks ago
Given what I now now though, correct me if I'm wrong but this is arguably the first exciting young striking prospect we've had at the club since Lolkaku.

Pretty much.
I knew of him only because Gil was hyping him up a while ago. Looks like a decent player who will only get better.

As I saw stated on Twitter earlier today, if nothing else let's hope the new new Drogba pans out better than the old new Drogba (Lukaku) did....

I think he will, he is younger, better technically and only lacks physicality on Lukaku, imo.

According to Batshuayi's Facebook, he is joining up with Chelsea's Pre-season squad group tomorrow.
I wonder if Cahill, Azpilicueta, Pedro, Fabregas and Hazard will be, too?

Chances we let him go out on loan and leave ourselves with zero options up top for the next 5 months should Costa be injured, banned, or out of form: 0

I think he'll be loaned unless we're lacking CF options.
I think Costa and Solanke will go, Lukaku will return and if we sign Alexis, we probably don't need another CF as Lukaku, Sanchez, and Hazard can play there. So I can see Bats being loaned.
If we only sign Lukaku, I can see him staying on, unless Conte rates Tammy higher, in which case I can see Tammy and Lukaku staying and Bats being loaned.

I don't think he was a Conte signing, tbh. Plus for the most part, Costa has been undroppable.
I don't understand why he hasn't been played when Costa hasn't played.
I don't think we'll get rid of him like we did with Salah or Cuadrado, though.

That makes sense. I really don't want to send him on loan, we need a backup striker and i think he might come good.
Personally wouldn't be surprised if we go into next season with Morata and Batshuayi.

I agree, except I think we'll get Lukaku.
I don't particularly think Lukaku is the best option, but Emanelo wants him and the latest reports suggest Conte wants him, too. So I can't see it not happening.

Batshuayi just never really showed his potential whenever he was given the chance. He seems like he will explode into class any minute but it's still not yet come.
Agree with Kick though. A loan out seems very likely.
I don't really want Lukaku at CFC either but we really do need a reliable striker for next season

I think he might have been a Conte signing given that when he played Conte's Italy he shone so much, looked better than all the other Belgians on the field. He probably liked him since then.
