Once you study her moves a lot you'll learn her patterns and know when you can get aggressive.

That's the key tbh, I didn't do it until I started getting aggressive when the openings where there.

Before I was way too passive, although having said that she still hits like a tonne of bricks.

this is impossible

that's how it felt too,

but try to study her combos, you will see the patterns. like when she is far from you and makes a move to the right, you know she will rush you with the unstoppable wing slap, so you anticipate the dive roll. when she goes left, you can can block her attack, etc... and never let her fly, just never, throw your axe at her.

be ready for a 10-15 min fight though, that's how it is.

I haven't found a way to dodge her flashbang attack yet. And she is too fast.

I'll try being patient.

Or let Atreus hit her with electric arrows as she tries to fly as it will stun her and make her drop.

Honestly the most difficult part of the fight to me was she drops the fire attacks as it severely limits your movement which just plays into her other attacks.

Also RG what Runic attacks are you using?

they really need a new game plus asap, i want to replay those fights without having to grind my way up the game again

I can't imagine people doing it on give me god of war difficulty.

Yeah, luckily the director said they are working on it.

Only 3rd game this generation where i just cba playing anything else atm once i finished

Witcher 3 i just replayed it immediately and Persona 5 i just stopped playing games.

You use the Resurrection stone which gives spartan mode upon revival i take it?

Never got 9k in nifelheim. Maybe it changes with difficulty plus the more time it takes to clear the mobs. 8The max was 7k that's after having a full ivaldi armour and understanding the dungeon. Almost every time it was less than that too.

I was stacked in useless anchors of fog but still needed to grind the mist echoes

the max i got was actually in the 10k, i saw videos of people getting 15k online i think, normal difficulty. You have to make quick work of the enemies and go through a lot of rooms.

I got 13k once after doing the Valkyrie in there, because the mist resets it allows you to get an unreal amount on that run.

I never really replicated it though.

I ended up selling all the materials for mist in the end because cba going for more runs. And even in the end i couldn't get anything more than 6k at best. I think it may be due to difficulty?

Actually didn't die. Came very close so used spartan mode to revive health and then went at her again. Did it the only way i know which is to be aggressive. This time i used the squirrel talisman for Atreus and it gave me 3 rage ammo so i used spartan mode on her like 2 times in a row.

Now I just need to kill ravens.

I don't think there is any replayability value in this game. As much as I loved it, I'll probably never touch it again after platinum.

Oh right, i didn't either which is funny because my entire gameplan initially was getting it low enough to when i can revive go straight into Spartan Rage to finish her off.

What actually happened is i just killed her before any of that happened lol which i was quite happy with.

On replayability though, i'm going to try it because i found the combat so satisfying but i wouldn't be surprised if RG is right.

This seems to be a trend with Sony games, God Of War, Horizon, Uncharted, The Last of Us etc etc.

All amazing games but they don't feel immediately replayable to me, like i said i'm gonna try with GOW but tbh it wouldn't surprise if it's the same case really.

There is nothing more to do. You can't alter your style of play or have different builds for example like you can in other RPGs. Unless they add new modes or introduce more challenges, i am not sure why you would want to play it again. Also i doubt you would want to listen to the same dialogues again during the story.

It was the same with Horizon as you said and Uncharted too. Not that there is anything wrong with it since they are intended to be this way.

That depends how your gear is and how many side quests you've left undone.

Although there's nothing you can't do after the game iirc and a lot of stuff is designed for post game anyway.
