obvious attempt to create a successful battle shounen like you mentioned, I mean I get that some people love that formula but there comes a point when you tire of it surely, especially if you've read the classics

Yea shonen fans love it because of the whole "weak main character having hidden potential and overcoming the odds" thing. Literally a shit version of Ichigo.

I think it's that + no Bleach, OP and (shudder) Fairy Fail around now

they're desperate to cling onto another battle shounen, especially since One Piece isn't weekly now.

Also Shounen Jump series I'm messing with atm is The Promised Neverland and that's because it isn't a traditional superpower series, the setting is interesting, still a shounen through and through but worth a read IMO, getting quite popular also

I need to finish fairy tail. At some point it was my favourite series lol.

Never heard of The Promised Neverland. Author seems new too.

I had to look it up. Yeah she does. In the first episode when he is eating rice with his dad she sits on his lap and the movement looking for chopsticks has her jack him off inadvertently with her behind:lol: That scene always stood with me. I tapped out right there:lol:

Never got into outlaw star. Jin always felt like a poor man's Spike, and his roommate was like 10 and wasnt as cool as Jet.

Never seen Trigun. I did know the intro or ending had a really cool guitar run that was available on to be downloaded and added to guitar hero.

And yeah watch it. Its near the beginning of episode 1. He literally is jacked off by a ghost.

Why they keep bringing all this back when I still cant get a Narutaru season 2

I'd like to get into Yu Yu so I hope it leads to a full-on remake. It's too 'classic' looking for me at this point.

Also, any of you guys watch Attack on Titan season 2 and not aware of the manga? somehow got roped into watching reactions of a certain reveal in S2 and seeing people genuinely feeling betrayed that scene was amazingly done.

Can't fault the quality of AoT, I think the series' popularity will drop pretty hard, at least among anime watchers in the following seasons though as it becomes pretty boring for a long ass time. Still one of my favorite manga settings though.

really? still had insane hype from what I saw, maybe not on the same lvl as S1, it looked really good, you should definitely watch it. the series in general was great early on.

I watched a few scenes and the animation quality was still absurd

I wish the wait between seasons wasn't so long because I'd have stuck with the anime which shits on the manga for once, the manga art

you should also try this anime that's been getting a lot of hype, I plan on reading the manga, it's from the creator of Honey & Clover which you also liked if I recall correctly

Yea I know about that one. Was really excited for it but then i stopped watching animes in general for a while.

I'd recommend you watch it since the music would compliment the scenes if it's the same team as the one who made Honey & Clover (easily the best SOL anime).

AOT s2 was quite good. Commander Erwin is boss AF. The OSTs are badass as well.

one of my favourites back in the day, animation was great for the time so I imagine it holds up now

another Psycho Pass though where the first season is GOAT and the second is utter garbage unfortunately
