Manga and Anime

I actually think Pluto is horrifically overrated, people fap to it because of the 'deep themes' but IMO the execution in the manga wasn't great, it's easily the weakest of the manga author's works (I know he adapted it from a story)

wish 20th Century Boys got an anime instead

Cowboy Bebop

I'm not a huge fan of episodic stuff or a big anime watcher in general, saw a few episodes a long, long time ago when I was a kid. finally started watching it properly though after putting it off for a long time

just over halfway through atm, great so far, man, that late 90s animation style is still the best IMO, majority of current anime can't hold a candle to it, show in general just oozes style

Been a while since I've watched any animes. Hit me up with some recommendations.

I remember watching the first few episodes of Cowboy Bebop years ago, but dropped it because I found it boring.

It's an all time great for a reason. Rewatched it recently for the 3rd time and the animations didn't feel out of place at all. One of those animes I will get on bluray

That cathedral episode tho ffs Also probably has the most badass ending of an anime ever.

The episodes with Vicious are just on another level. Prime of anime.

Reading a manga called Buddha by Osamu Tezuka. So far so frikin good. Such a beautiful little spin to Buddha's origin story (and into Buddhism ofc). And that artwork is pure bliss. Hope you guys have read it.

Last few episodes were just incredible. Emotional rollercoaster.

I don't think it's the best anime ever like a lot of people but it's definitely something that can be recommended to non anime fans and an absolute classic, there were a few too many mediocre purely episodic parts with little to no character development for me to have it in my top 3-5. But when it's at it's best it's peak anime IMO, the last few episodes especially. They were amazing. The fact it has probably the best OST/use of music I've seen in a series helps the memorable moments stand out even more. Definitely something I won't ever forget. The animation was so so good too and holds up incredibly well now, shits on most anime today with their over reliance rushed computer generated stuff.

Main cast were all great and very memorable. Spike might be top 3 ever.

Watanabe is GOAT at character building. You can tell by both cowboy bebop and samurai champloo.

Like I said the main story episodes (the ones with Vicious) are the pinnacle of anime. Nothing ever topped that for me.

movie may actually be good, remember hearing about it a while ago, the director can be hit or miss but he has a lot of good to great movies adapted from manga. Trailer looked cool.

Watched One Punch Man and Attack on Titans. Incredible. Truly.

Btw guys why didnt OPM 2nd season come? They left off in the middle, just like that after the Boros fight. Didnt even feel like end of a season.

Reading both the mangas right now to know what happens.

They only make the season once there is enough material in the manga. So season 2 will be out once there are enough chapters.

Watching the marineford arc atm. What an absolute peak of an anime/manga

sabaody archipelago is still my favourite arc.

Big Mom arc is quite good, although long AF. Wano arc will be goat IMO.
