La Liga 2015/16 Discussion
We'll start this off with the new estimated amounts of TV money clubs will now receive:
Good news for clubs coming up from Segunda, as they're getting up to five times their original amount since the original deal for Segunda clubs was a farce.
The mid-table clubs will feel hard done by when they see Premier League mid-table clubs receive almost three times as much.
Not so good news for Atletico, Valencia or Sevilla, who would have been hoping to be a bit closer to Madrid and Barcelona.

Good for the mid table teams , they have now better budget for establishing themselves in the league. But how much that amount is ? Is it that BIG ? I know something is better than nothing.
Barcelona Madrid(s) for title contender.

Can you change the title to Liga Floretino Perez 2015-16? Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, the big change in TV revenue will be next season (16-17), the first one the TV deal will be sold collectively.

Wow United are set to lose more with the sale of Di Maria than the bottom three clubs get from TV money in La Liga

Lmao I knew it'd hurt but not that much. Why so agressive at stating facts? It's funny how people think they can write anything they want on the internet. Lowest of lows.Lex wrote:Did typing that make your baby carrot stand to attention a little?

Barca were really lucky MSN clicked at the right time when it mattered last season. Dont see them having that luck this season but I don't see us taking pole position either with another season of Bale as an undisputed starter in an awkward position and routine booing. Atleti are trying to create an attacking team, wrong move if they want to win the title. Can see us all fighting it out with alot less points and goals than previous seasons

Re: La Liga 2015/16 Discussion
I wouldn't say lucky, Lucho probably envisioned that if he over worked his core group early on, they'll be susceptible to injuries mid and late season. So he rotated wisely even if people complained (GL Barca fans included) so the risk of injuries decreased with respect to Madrid's.
Anyway, another lovely season of Spanish football approaches. Hell, even Elche survived from going under...

i also wouldn't consider us lucky to have a transfer ban nor have suarez start late in the season.
we coped well with the problems we had, to say we got lucky is a bit dumb.

Martino (coach ARG): "I'd be a fool not to complain about refs. At Barça, I didn't complain for a whole year and it cost me a Liga."
note: martino referring to messi's wrongly disallowed goal in last game of 2013/14, against atletico, that would have won barcelona the liga

Re: La Liga 2015/16 Discussion
Barca basically started their season after January. Suarez had 3 months to get going. Up until that point both he and Neymar were really poor. Then comes January and they all start scoring and assisting with Barca beating every team in their midst all the while we crumbled and lost the advantage we had amassed in the first half of the season. I'll be very very surprised if they all have a similar season to last. My guess is that Messi will keep his high level while Neymar will be a hit and miss

Luck (or in this case, being unlucky) had nothing to do with the transfer ban or signing Suarez though lol. Barcelona broke the rules and got punished and they also signed a player that was banned prior purchasing him. Which, mind you, no one forced Barcelona to buy.

Re: La Liga 2015/16 Discussion
you'll be surprised if we re-do the triple again? so would the whole world i expect us to challenge for la liga and i consider us favorites.
champions league is unrealistic no one has ever defended it so to expect us to win it is abit silly.
I expect Suarez statistically to do better this season, for obvious reasons he started off late and is more adjusted now.
neymar i expect to do slightly worse, i'd be impressed if he achieved (statistically) what he did last season.
messi is messi.

Re: La Liga 2015/16 Discussion
I think Neymar will be even better as this has been the case season after season these past few years. He needs to improve on his final pass still, finishing is almost on point. I can see him reaching those numbers again if Messi keeps delivering his ridiculously accurate throughballs.
Suarez is Suarez. He's a beast and now that he got to know everyone well and settled for good I expect him to do an even better job.
If they all stay fit we're in for a treat once again... Can't wait for the season to begin, only a week left

Haha mate you're just hoping MSN don't wreck everyone and especially RM again
Suarez already looked better than last season in the recent preparation games, even without Messi and Neymar who had longer breaks
IMO Benitez will make things even easier this season
