Some nice changes to ML, i started one as Liverpool and then started one with with Inter whilst waiting for the OF, just some things i've noticed.

- Players can learn new positions by just sticking them in that position for a while, i don't know if it then becomes their main position or they just learn it as a secondary one though.

- You can tailor training to the individual so they can learn new roles like "Box to Box", "Hole Player" etc. Default is set to basic so all stats get a growth of +1. focusing on a role will improve the stats needed to play it faster, whilst making others less of a priority.

From someone on Neogaf, don't know if there's anything else mind.

Honestly my major issue with master league last year (I enjoyed it otherwise) was the transfers. It was far too easy to buy and sell players which I found strange because I thought the year before last did it really well.

Seriously? Exactly the same?

I thought it was alright last year but there was a lot of room for improvement. They haven't implemented anything?

It's the only mode I play. Laughing

I've only played a few days so I can't comment on if transfers have improved or not, but in terms of layout and things you can do, it's pretty much the same.

The only difference I've noticed so far is that you can give your players more specific training routines (what Mole posted), and there's things like learning a new position but there's no way of tracking this as far I can see.

Playing Barca again. They sent Pique up front when they were chasing a goal hmm didn't know that was even an option. Gave me some nice room on the counter to use but I think that's the first time I've seen that in a football game.

Negotiation
Significant changes to the transfer system, with new dedicated budgets for transfer funds and player wages. More variety in the negotiation, such as a 6-month loan and signing a player during his loan period. The element of time has been added to the last day on transfer windows, setting a deadline to add excitement and tension to sign your players, just like in real-life soccer. Directors will also play a role in giving advice to the player during negotiations.

From Konami, is any of this true Jay? Laughing

This as well

Player Growth
The Player Growth system has been improved, with players now acquiring not only abilities as in PES 2016, but also skills. Some players may see a boost in their abilities while on loan. The Training system has been further improved, with players now being able to learn skills and establish their play style through Training. In PES 2017, players can now learn their position, enabling you to further realize your ideal player and team.

I can't find much else though.

PES - Page 26 Empty Re: PES

Post by Jay29 Thu Sep 15, 2016 3:32 pm

Well here are some transfers so far:

Arturo Vidal to Arsenal - £21m
Thomas Muller to Atleti - £20m
Arjen Robben to Roma - £20m
Thiago to Benfica - £19m
Hummels to Leverkusen - £18m
Jerome Boateng to Atleti - £17m
Sneijder to Roma - £16m
David Alaba to Napoli - £16m
Ricardo Rodriguez to Liverpool - £15m
Kevin Mirallas to City - £15m
Sokratis to Chelsea - £14m
Axel Witsel to Napoli - £14m
Ashley Williams to PSG - £14m

Now my first reaction is rofl

But then you realise all the Bayern players have moved, and Bayern iirc aren't active in any league (though why Hummels to Leverkusen I don't know). Other than that it seems the fees are still on the low side. Like, I just saw Draxler move to Spurs for £12m, and Kyle Walker to Barca for £9m.

My scouts have suggested some names that actually look pretty realistic for a club like Sevilla: Bony, Choupo-Moting, Benteke, Eliseu, Kjaer, Dja Djedje, Junuzovic, Tiago, This without actually specifying anything except position and "within budget".

Yeah i'm adding Bundesliga before i start lol, found a file which has it as well.

Although random transfers are always *bleep* up as long the way i buy players and sell players is reasonably sane i'll be content.

I haven't tried to buy anyone yet, but I am getting offers from clubs. West Brom offered £13m for Franco Vazquez - exactly his market value in game.

It actually really bugs me that neither PES nor FIFA have a "player doesn't want to move because it's his first season at the club" type thing. Seeing a lot of recently signed players on the move already.

We'll see how the window plays out though.

Anyway, the passing is so good since I can play balls like this:

f*** me took me about two hours Laughing

This shouldn't happen to everyone else though as it usually automatically goes through it, basically when you add in the Bundesliga you have to not just overwrite the teams because ( they are made up with made up players etc in a made up regen league) but the players as well so it asks you for each team to overwrite it instead of doing automatically itself like it does for everything else.

Me in my infinite wisdom decided to do this with each team from the PL, Championship, Italian 2nd division, Serie A, La Liga, Spanish 2nd division, Portuguese Liga and Bundesliga.

Didn't help that it crashed a few times because i'm adding all these files in at once too, at least it's done now. Laughing

A bit more on transfers.

There is a deadline day where the last 15 hours = 15 minutes.

Negotiating is different in that you no longer manually input an offer. Instead you tell someone to negotiate for you, then they come back with a fee that you can try to reduce based on a percentage. The game advises you on what you should do.

So I went Wendell the Leverkusen LB. Leverkusen wanted £21m. I asked to negotiate it down based on a 60% chance of success and they lowered the price to £17m. It's the same for selling too. So you can't dictate how much you want for a player.

I say every year that stats don't matter and i have already found two examples, Dembele from Dortmund and Pjaca from Juventus are in the 70s overall but both have have enough outstanding skills in certain areas to be effective and fun to play as.

Also Higuain is amazing...

Transfers are still ridiculous as ever i see.

Managed to sign Kovacic for 8m in the f***ing Championship PES - Page 26 Yao The budgets seem pretty realistic as does the players your scout will recommend but it kind of falls flat on it's face when s*** like this can happen.

i don't think they can actually control transfers no matter how hard they try

They can try and code something like "top 4 sides players will always say no to lesser clubs" but that will create huge problems

so both pes and fifa just allow it

I think the issue is that they don't have a reputation type system for the clubs in the game. There's nothing in the game that identifies, say, Real Madrid as a bigger club than Getafe besides the budget available to them.

What the new PES seems to be doing is recommending players via scouts based on average overall rating for the team your being. So if Sevilla average between 78 and 83 I'm gonna see a bunch of players within that range. But the size of the club won't come into play at all.

I have said this before but 2015 did transfers really well in terms of just straight buying and selling.

It was actually realistic in terms of money spent and players can attract, I remember chasing Veratti like every season for like 6 straight seasons and getting rejected until the 6th lol cost me over 60m as well.

Last year I was signing Alaba in like the 3rd and for like 25m smh, game is much better now obviously but that aspect seems to get worse.

So I'm into November on my ML, and I think teams are starting to double up on Ganso now. Whenever I get him on the ball he gets pressed from a midfielder and a striker comes back at the same time Laughing

Also finding 4-4-2 with wing rotation to be a really good formation.

Been playing with my brother all evening so hardly touched master league. Produced so many amazing moments that just get you excited and feels exactly like the PS2 days from that sense.

Like this....

Goal isn't anything special but the timing of it all made us both go nuts.

Something else I noticed is teams that don't fit are bad, for example Arsenal's team barely fits with each other and Giroud is so out of place.

You know just like in real life, I love that aspect to it

I don't know yet Laughing

What i'm saying is your squad in real life doesn't really fit together hmm

It's just 11 players, 11 good ones mind you. Giroud looks out of place in real life and the team doesn't really look like a unit.

It shows in the game, they are not the only ones either but i used Arsenal as an example.
